How did Bagent get the backup role?

Great pass by Bagent and good drive to get another points at the end of the half. Hope BJ manages to call a great game in the second half and Bagent shines, unless they decide to go with Keenum, if he struggles.

13-3 at halftime, feels like it would be a 20-pt lead. Bagent has completed 72% of his passes with 170 yards in the first half, but it just does not seem as clean as Keenum.

Who cares what trade value Bagent has. All I want is to win the game. Offense has looked poor today. Hopefully the offense is better in the second half, and Bagent has a great half.

You can see he wanted to but Mikey M told him no.

This will be an interesting 'tell' for if BJ trusts Bagent with a proper 2 minute drill.

That may have been part of the decision to go with Bagent. If he had put on a brilliant performance today, the Bears' asking price for trading him before the deadline would have spiked.

Defense needs a stop here. Don't allow pts before the half as the Jets get the ball to start the 2nd half. The Bears with 40 plays already. 60+ is where the fatigue kicks in. Should be an interesting 4th quarter.

Bagent needs to experience. I think his last starts were filling in for Fields. If he is a top 32 QB, he needs to start showing it. Would love to get a 2nd for him this offseason.

Yeah, 10-3 lead, should be more. Lost 7 on the BS overturned TD and the Bagent INT gave the Jets 3 pts. Should be 17-0. Bagent clearly does not look as good as Keenum.

BJ definately put a collar on Bagent. Bears running the ball which is what needs to be done to soften the defensive front up and help the passing game 2nd half.

Bears finally score, quarter over, the Jets have 3 plays on offense lol. Should be 14-0, but refs. Bagent looks pretty good, not as quick as Keenum, but a couple of longer passes to Odunze and Burden. Burden has 49 receiving yards in the 1st quarter.

100% - I agree with BJ's calls, as you said, both were TDs that should not have been overturned.
