Best I can do is DJ and Tremaine plus this years second round pick.
-
I respect his decision but I wonder what the cap ramifications are. I would hope the Bears get some of his signing bonus back. Peace
-
DJ and one first I can see. I dont think we will spend two firsts unless we get picks back too.
-
Well crap, that sucks. What a random time to do that. He was at the Pro Bowl just a few weeks ago.
-
Just seen it too. This draft has some pretty good centers. Might as well put the D on the back burner and draft LT and C with first 3 picks.
-
what the actual hell. this certainly changes our offseason plans. I'm no expert, but it looks like we will have significant salary cap dead space as a result. We may only gain $500k in cap space, and have to replace him as well.
-
I just woke up, is this true? Wow that screws the OL strength Luke Newman was taking some snaps at OC, does he take over now?
-
He's not worth it. If we're entering a ten year window with a franchise quarterback, affordability/cost control with draft picks is going to be crucial.
-
The Raiders want a pair of 1st rounders and a player for Max Crosby. Send them Tremaine who they shown interest and the two 1sts? I think as long as we can still move DJ we should. I think DJ and Two 1sts is a lot.

Original report was a 5th, a 4th is wild to me for a RB2.
-
Scruggs was pretty bad last year. Either way, just in typing that, Monty had 2 more jump cuts.

Bears To Indiana? If They Go, Eat $h!t and CHOKE On it
BearFan2000 replied to Lucky Luciano's topic in Bearstalk
At the end of the day what matters most to me isn't so much the location as is the quality of the site, stadium itself (game day experience), access, parking etc. Would the idea of the Chicago Bears stadium not being right in Chicago? Sure, but it's not like either Arlington or Hammond are that far away from the current location. As a resident of northern Indiana a trip to a Bears game involves taking the South Shore so I can't speak for parking as the train stops within walking distance of Soldier Field. However and whererever the new stadium is built it needs to be a first class facility that can host a Super Bowl, and a gameday experience that is modern but pays homage to the Bears tradition with some archetectural nods to Soldier Field. -
I seen something on X this morning that the Bears have turned down 5ths and want a 4th.
-
Exactly. If the Bears were offered Simmons from TN, you better believe the Bears interest would change. Trading for a pick would not be considered unless they get a 2nd or better. Like Bagent, the Bears would not part with him for a 4th or lower. I say a 2nd, but maybe theyd take a higher 3rd.
-
What I saw from Biggs is that the Bears are not interested in trading Dexter. Not that other teams don’t want him. Biggs further said that it’s as simple as not wanting to create another hole on the roster at a position of need.
-
Three players for Monty kills me. If we were predicting jump cuts per game, it would be a better number. And what the hell are the Texans doing? It seems like they're intentionally trying to kill Stroud.
-
He's better than those LBers but the best would be a 4 th if a couple of teams might fight over him.
-
Seen where Rapport corrected his post. Detroit got Juice Scruggs/ OL, a 4th and 7th. Quite the haul. Makes me wonder what Swift would bring back.
-
Poles wants more picks and would love to do that. Heard talk about the rumor of people wanting Dexter and Brad Biggs said those were false reports. Of all the local reporters, he always seems to have the best information. I don't trust any national media.

You ARE the stat man. LOL I gotta admit that's a very well reasoned and researched argument. I was making a gut call based on his age, his measurables, and assuming he will agree to a lower extension. But I did no research on comparables. So i feel the market for him heating up a bit, but my guess as to what that means in terms of rounds was just out of the air. If had known what you put here, I'd still feel his market heating up, but Id have had a better understanding of what that meant in terms of actual draft value. Thanks for this, you've convinced me!

I think it will depend on Edmunds contract demands. Is he wants big money terms will back off. If he’s taking second tier money we might get a 4th.
-
I could only find 3 trades that involved ILBs since Roquan was traded. This is who was traded and what they went for: Ernest Jones - 5th Kenneth Murray - 6th Isiah Simmons - 7th Interestingly enough, Jones was also traded in season that year for a 4th. Seeing that there hasn't been an off ball LB traded for more than a 5th, and considering Edmunds's salary, and lack of personal accolades (Pro Bowl, All-Pro), I don't think he would go for more than a 5th unless the Bears threw in a 7th or another player.
-
After thinking about this for a bit, at the very least this should help drive up the price for Edmunds and Moore. That’s assuming teams have legit interest and aren’t just bargain hunting.
-
I’d love to have Maxx but the price is likely too high.
