  1. Past hour
  2. Did that really hurt your feelings? Or are you pretending so you can fight? Im not interested.
  3. Today
  4. there are many ways to create cap space. I predict a good amount of turnover on the Defense.
  5. This is our QB, how lucky are we when the best QB ever is in envy. We got BJ and Caleb, I don't care who anyone else is on the team. We are going to a SB in the next two years.
  6. I threw that out there but I never thought they would sign the big 3 in the OL that doesn't mean I wasn't elated over those players. You wanted a 1st round LT and I had no problem with Ozzy in the second. You didn't like that pick at the time. The problem between last year and this year is we have no money. They will overhaul it but they have to sign Ss and another LB ( maybe D Jackson) before they add the needed DL.. They will restructure some contracts and cut Edmunds (?) , then maybe trade some players if needed. Poles did the drafting not Flus but will get BJ what he needs. BJ is the dominate football guy in the room but it's not a dictatorship. We might have different opinions on who they want but I trust BJs perspective to get the right players. As much need as the DL has , I think LT is on the table for the first pick. No Free agents of value out there. I think DT is a bigger need that edge. We have Booker, Sweat, Dayo and Turner. We only have 2 DTs in the roster. In DJ's scheme the pressure up the middle puts the DEs in better position because the QB has to bail from the pocket.
  7. This guy is okay but it amazes me he has 155,000 followers. He has some good ideas, don't agree with everything.

    Pick #25

I'm one of those but never had a problem with anything you had to say. You remain me of a good friend that I had , we would come to blows and then do shots of tequila and forget about it.

That's what I'm talking about. When I talk shit, I'm just busting balls, like with my buddies. Some folks are waayyyy too sensitive.

I wish all the members lived in the same city so we could sit in the bar and argue, then buy each other a beer. Like the good old days before the internet.
  11. I'll remember when I describe an opinion of yours, as simplistic and childish, it's a football term and not personal. This has nothing to do about DJ's feelings it's about disagreeing with the quitter label. You always take it somewhere it never was. Trading for assets and cap space is a different conversation than a player over seeing him as a quitter. You always try to mix conversations. You are always the player that punched first and then played innocent when the other guy punches back. This is a football analogy you will understand.

Never heard the term ( slurping his jock) before. We must have grown up in a different culture. You are correct, I brought it over here after you mentioned trading DJ,. I didn't blame anybody was just trying to move back to the post topic.
  14. Im saying the IDEA of worrying about a players feelings and being a fan boy is childish and stupid. That the real decisions are hard and are about money and production. Thats football. The idea that what we write here affects GMs desire to trade for DJ Moore for example is dumb. That IDEA is dumb. If we cant say that, then we cant say anything. Im talking about football, youre trying to keep this fight alive AGAIN. You are not DJ Moore, so when I say he takes plays off, that is allowed on a Bears board. DJ doesnt need you to emotionally protect him. and LOL at derogatory language. dont be such a baby. simplistic and childish are descriptors. They are words with meaning and they convey my opinion. Someone needs to tell YOU to cut it out.
  15. Hundreds of pundits doing Bear material these days. The two opinions I respect the most are Olin kruetz and Dave Wannsted. Not JT get me clicks Sullivan. It's okay to have different opinions , what happened with just saying, I disagree.
  16. I apologize, you meant a compliment with the statement ( simplistic and childish ways). No one is falling for the poor me anymore , by mentioning ( whipping boy) you were responding to my post. If you would refrain from using derogatory language, this would never happen.
  17. Yesterday
  18. It was one example of DJ Moore giving a half effort among many. It's not that former NFL QB JT OSullivan (QB School on youtube) is the ultimate authority, its just that he rightly showed DJ phoning it in. There are many examples of it. I dont understand why people get so stuck on players and dont want to improve the roster with better players.
  19. JT who? šŸ˜ For what it’s worth (coming from him not much) but he also lumped Odunze’s lax effort for that same play.
  20. Its time to rebuild the defense. Last year the plan was clearly to stock the offense and get it going. Dont be shocked if there are wholesale changes to this defense. We are slow and built for Cover 2, and we have no pass rush. We will look a lot different next year. Last year at this time you said two new starters on the OL (I said four). You were saying how Tevin Jenkins and Braxton Jones would play better. By now, everyone knows your loyalty to players on the roster. But the guys who arent Ben Johnson guys, not Dennis Allens guys, the ones that got drafted under Eberflus are all under the microscope. And i think there is gonna be a lot more roster turnover than people expect.
  21. Its not a bad idea for a thread. I see how the dots line up, why it is an idea. But I think if we are considering letting DJ go because of his attitude and commitment, then we shouldnt take on another one with issues. One of the benefits of moving on from DJ would be a strong message to every player that they are replaceable if they dont keep a high standard of play. I wouldnt lose that for a WR3 at best? Also, to be fair, I've been one to argue that we need to trade Moore, and for me I saw it as keep him as he is, or trade him decision. The TTNL guys last night were talking about restructuring options that I thought made a lot of sense and might be a third way if we choose to keep him. I still think we're better off with a 3rd round pick than to restructure and keep him, but I wanted to say that the all or nothing way I was looking at his contract isn't the entire picture. I didnt think there were realistic options that gave so much cap relief. Anyway, here's the TTNL link If you dont want to watch the whole thing, fast forward to 36:25 for the cap section. Watch for at least 7 minutes to get to $64M in cap space. It's the kind of analysis you really dont get anywhere else, and its really smart and informed. It's never narrative driven, and these guys really know what theyre talking about.
  22. someone please explain to him, that i didnt say anything fighty at all. Please. This is exactly how it all happened last time. You all saw my reaction, but you never noticed the months building up to it. Hes also fighting with other members right now too. All this to say, please dont blame me, Im avoiding all of that as much as possible.
  23. Sticking with the theme of reading body language etc and correlating that to which side of the ball needs more attention, I’d agree it’s the D. I think several here will agree that Jaylon Johnson has not been the player we saw that one year he signed for a big deal. He’s essentially a body filling the roster at this point. And aside from the one takeaway earlier this year, what has Stevenson done for us lately? You wanna talk about taking plays off? I’m sure we all clearly remember his infamous lolly gag moment while Washington stole a victory away from us last year. Never mind the lack of pass rush from our front 7. These two guys alone haven’t done much this year despite the new regime and attitude adjustment our team has adopted. Id say the offense is overall good for now. The focus really needs to be on the defense as a whole.

This is hilarious. Nobody said anything bad about DJ until you started slurping his jock. Yes, this is about #25 and I mentioned trading DJ for someone if we can't get What we need at 25. You made it a fanboy post. Now you want to blame others for hijacking it. My opinion of DJ was in another post and you drug it over. I'm not taking the heat for you not understanding how English composition works.
