  1. Past hour
  2. Water seeks it's own level and so will the Bears. I'm thankful that we're all hopeful.
  3. Today
  4. Bears are screwed now if they don't win the division. Pretty much worst case scenario for these Thanksgiving games. DAL beating KC means they're almost certainly getting one of the wildcard spots with their schedule. Their only loseable game left is DET next week, so that result hurts the Bears either way. The Packers winning also hurts, because Detroit's schedule is easier. They're not losing 8 games, and who knows whether the Bears win the tie-breaker vs them anyways.
  5. Yesterday
  6. Jackson was the unsung hero during the last game with the most tackles (15). He led both teams in that category with Obengingimiba (sp?) as a close second at 14. With Sweats 2 sacks in the last game and β€˜old-man’ Byard playing at an all-pro clip, having some help in the defensive backfield will be good. Im still a fan of Sewell and looking forward to see how Hyppolite figures into the equation when the time comes.
  7. GB also had their big DT carted off (Wyatt). I read that of the 4 NFLN teams, GB has the most challenging schedule remaining for this season. With two games coming up with GB and 1 with DET, we are in charge of our own destiny. Gut-check time.
  8. GB wins, St. Brown hurt, who was clearly a huge part of their game plan. Neither team looked particularly good. I feel much better facing either of them with Jaylon and Kyler. I was kind of surprised by how bad the defenses were. 7 TDs allowed between the 2 teams, 9 scoring drives. GB had 3 sacks (on Goff), DET had 0. No turnovers. Bears still in first, but a loss tomorrow would drop them to 2nd and GB would be 0.5 ahead. DET now has 2 extra losses.
  9. Looks like all LBs and Stevenson are out, but Jaylon and Kyler are back.
  10. Weather looks like it will be cold and windy. Hopefully this game doesn't come down to FGs.
  11. I never saw Benedet as the answer. He is a prototypical guard/center. I'm very happy Ozzy has shown he can do it and if only for a game.
  12. πŸ˜‰ I'm questioning, just haven't posted the question. LOL I want to see Ozzy get another opportunity. If he repeats his performance of last week, he might be our future at LT.
  13. Last week
  14. Dennis Allen really simplified things against Pitt with just 4 blitzes all game. I expect more of the same against Philly although if Jaylon and Kyler are back it gives him more options in coverage/blitz packages.
  15. No team controls its destiny more than the Bears do right now. Of all the teams in and around them in the NFC playoff picture, they have the most games against those teams (5), GB and DET have 3, SEA and SF have 2. The Bears just have to have the same record as DET or GB the rest of the way to make the playoffs, just beat one of those teams to the finish. If they have the same record as both of those teams the remainder of the season, they win the Division, and DET misses the playoffs.
  16. Their advantage will be its a home game and will be desperate for a win because they lost to the Cowboys. I expect a close game and in the end lose, but we have been there so many times this year and won. Im open for being wrong (again). I seen this shirt on Facebook and love it but never buy anything off of Facebook (to much risk). Anyone seen this shirt in a legitimate place?
  17. I agree with you guys. Initially, my gut said we get blown out. Then I began comparing the two teams. It's a shame we are having so much trouble with injuries. We are playing some fantastic football while short-handed. I saw this comparison on NFL.com. I know it's no guarantee we won't get blown out of the stadium, but damn, we compare favorably on paper.
  18. Turns out the β€œChirper” isn’t such a bad guy after all. This and his infamous run-in with Jalen Ramsey this last weekend (on behalf of Caleb) has proven he may be someone the Bears need to keep around.
  19. Read where Devonte Smith and Barkley didnt practice today because of nagging injuries. Wouldnt that be nice if they didnt play. There is only tomorrow and Thanksgiving day before the game.
  20. You bring up a good point. Our coaches should be able to scheme us into a better place to be successful against Philly. Their offense has has issues all year long and their defense is talented but have given up over 20 points 7 times this year. We have 23 sacks and Eagles only have 22. They are winning games but arent doing it pretty. I look at this game and say we should get our butt kicked then I think, we are 8-3 and first in our division. No one predicted that at this point in time even with us having a fairly easy schedule. We are finding ways to win even thou we are not very consistent. Yet we are 6th in offense and Eagles are 24th. We have scored 289 points and left many points on the field. Eagles have scored 255 points. There is many reasons that says we can compete in this game.
  21. Something Orlovsky just broke down from the Eagles Cowboys game intrigues me. Flus deployed a five man front to stop the run and it was successful. It kept the Eagles OL from being able to run their trap blocking scheme. Why not have Billings, Jarrett, and Dexter working the middle. Of course, Philly will learn from this and expect some of it from the Bears and prepare accordingly. It may also help with our shortage at LB.
  22. 1-1 against teams with a winning record. Even if this one ends up knocking them back to 1-2 it’s not the end of the world. Being in Philly won’t be easy. As long as we see some sort of progress offensively amd don’t lose on a grand scale.
  23. Not a perfect game. I see slow feet against some of the speed rushes but also some really good plays against power. Great game considering his first start.
  24. McCarthy is putting up a historically bad season. Bottom 5 QBR Season since they started tracking it in 2006. He just passed Will Levis for 5th worst, next up Josh Rosen. 2025 JJ McCarthy - 24.8 2024 Will Levis - 25.2 2018 Josh Rosen - 24.1 2011 Blaine Gabbert - 22.2 2010 Jimmy Clausen - 13.8 2006 Andrew Walter - 23.0
  25. The incompletions can be a result of: 1. Bad throw/accuracy/timing 2. Receiver bad route/timing 3. Receiver drops pass 4. Defense caused - QB is escaping pressure/great PBU 5. Throw away (forced incompletion) In some cases, I feel like they are trading incompletions for INTs and sacks right now, so I will take that. However, we want to start to see an uptick in Comp% over the remainder of the season.
  26. I see prospects stepping up Theo, Ozzy to the point we no longer need to draft a LT in the 2026 draft. Both are getting better, it is irrelevant that they are not first round picks. High picks have a better track record of succeeding but many examples of lower round prospects getting the job done. The starting LT for the Eagles was a 7th round pick. As the season progresses we see players getting better so Kudos to Poles on getting this years draft right. Luke Newman will be the next OG or OC to come from this draft once one of our IOL 3 free agents are done playing. To be honest, I thought Jackson was going to be a bad signing but he is cooking now. I think sometimes we just need to be patient and see what the plan was work out before we complain about the results. Every year we should draft prospects for the OL but now we can use the high picks to go at other weak position groups going forward. It took Poles 4 yrs to get it right but (IMO) its starting to work.
