At the end of the game Monday night, I was on the computer when Favre threw the TD to Rice. I walked into the living room and told my wife that I expected the Bears to lose and was at least happy they put up a great game. Further, I said that was a hell of a pass by Favre. My wife said, and I will paraphrase "I don't want to hear it. I want them to lose because of him". Got to love it!!! FYI - I hate Favre as well but respect him as a player. Peace

Both Know and Manning are not expected to play either. Bright side, Iglesias should finally be active. Also, with Izzy out, maybe Big Toe can get some reps. Peace

I think we can all agree our OL has sucked this year and has been a key problem for our offense. Many have screamed to build the OL for years, and w/ the OL so bad this year and everyone talking about it, it seemed like our wishes would finally be granted in this offseason. Now I have to wonder. In the last game against Minny, we saw a huge difference from the first game. Williams replaced Pace at LT, and did a pretty damn good job. I know he got a lot of help, but he also blocked Allen one-on-one plenty of times, and more than held his own. Omiyale was unbelievably awful early in the season prior to being benched. Talks about how little we have used Cutler on rollouts, bootlegs and such. Turner says it was part of the original plan, but they just got away from the plan. Anyway, as so many here have screamed to use Cutler in such a way, this article is right up that alley.

As some of you might recall, I posted my highschool highlight tape on here last year. Well, after one year at JuCo, I have another highlight tape to share with you all. I am #62 and playing Right Tackle. I am in the Navy or White tops with gray pants. Started every game and did not miss a single snap. Hi All, I was just thinking, what is everyone thinking about the RB position? Last year Forte was thought to be the answer, many more questions around that thinking now I would think? Personally, I think we make sure that Jones is going to be sound next year and sign him up, and then think seriously about whether Wolfe is worth keeping. Can he really be a significant part of our offence?

Okay, I realize we have a lot of injuries, but Bennett and some others are still good to go, yet Hester is handling all return (punt/kickoff) duties so far. Question is, are we seeing (a) Team showcase Hester for the purpose of a future trade? ( Team trying to get a look to see if Hester can return to this role in the future, or © Team simply going w/ Hester due to a shortage of bodies.

I know we've been over this with a backhoe but now that the season actually is over what does everyone's crystal ball say?

Sorry I've been missing in action for a while. Didn't feel like I had anything constructive to say so I didn't say anything at all. Now that it's over, I think we need to see this team address the following: 1.) Repair the O Line through free agency. I sure wish I knew who was out there but this is (and has been) my number one concern. Having no first or second round choices this year sure isn't going to help. 2.) Determine who it was that was responsible for Devin A being unseen for the vast majority of the season and fire that guy. I'm not sure if this is Turner or Lovie but I sure recall Cutler lobbying for him during the preseason and it took all …

As much as this trade has flip-flopped throughout the season, it seems to be a draw at this point. The QB's performed fairly evenly less Cutler's interceptions. Ayers was pretty much a non-factor, especially for the 18th overall pick. Knox was obviously a complete surprise and made significant contributions as a rookie with over 1,400 All-purpose yards and 6 TDs. Both teams missed the playoffs, so there is no real winner yet. The Broncos do hold the Bears 1st rounder in next year's draft, but they traded their own 1st rounder to Seattle. DETROIT -- After a season of wondering what was wrong with Matt Forte, the Bears finally admitted injuries played a role in his mediocre 2009 campaign. "I think [his health] had something to do with it," offensive coordinator Ron Turner said. "I don't think coming into it he was as healthy as he was a year ago. If we are talking about firing the offensive coordinator, we could call for the same dismissal of the defensive coordinator...wait... he's our head coach.
