I thought I'd start a thread for all the players that Chicago's brought in for pre-draft visits. Anybody know anything about these guys? Looks like Harrison is taking this offseason more seriously than last. Judging by the picture here he's in better shape than anytime I saw him last season. What bothers me about these decision makers is the lack of a plan to address needs. I will give them they went out and addressed DE, but still have questions at FS and OL. and if you wish to buy into it, still need help at WR. Someone like Philly will drop players, sign people, make trades, and address there needs in the draft anyway they need to. You can right or wrong, at least see a plan with what they are doing. I wish I could figure out what our leaders are doing, they have did some nice things over the last two years, but fall short with to many bad decisions. Passing on a rumor from a friend of a friend who has contacts in the Rams from office. The Bears apparently called them offering Greg Olsen and the Bears third rounder for the Rams second rounder and a mid to late 2011 pick. The Rams turned it down, but agreed to talk more on draft day. Apparently the Rams would like a TE, and want to see what is avaiable when they pick at the open of the second round. If the guy they like is gone, they may talk more with the Bears.

A few weeks back, the SCORES Boers & Bernstein show said that the Bears were having trouble getting a 5th round pick for Olsen. While I didn't believe this, I did believe his value wasn't what we thought it was. Today Denver received a 5th round pick for Tony Scheffler AND a 7th. I'd thought we might see a draft day deal in which the Bears moved up to the 2nd round. That ain't going to happen with trading away next year's picks.

A whopping 4, Tommie Harris, Zach Bowman, Al Alfalava, and Danieal Manning...That track record sucks. I don't care what industry you are in, a 15% hit rate is pathetic. Martz says that Omiyale's moving to right tackle, that Olsen can contribute in his system (and says there's a problem with the system if Olsen doesn't fit,) and that Cutler's exceeded his expectations so far. My two cents: 1. Excellent move as far as Omiyale goes. The guy started to look not-totally-awful at guard toward the end of the season, but he's clearly a tackle and he's much more of a pass-protector than a run-blocker. Beekman's an upgrade from him at LG. If Tice can coach Omiyale up on the switch to the right side (I'm pretty sure he played on the left in Carolina) then he could be a decent option at RT. Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I would point out this involves the personnal conduct policy, which the bears have come up against before, and could one day again, and thus can be argued this is Bears related. There will be those who say if Ben isn't convicted (or even charged) Goodell should not do anything, but I disagree. Especially in a criminal case like rape, it is very difficult to prove guilt. Look at past cases that hit public like this, and often the victim becomes the accuses. She is called a whore or whatever. It's time to catch both the Bulls and Blackhawks in playoff mode. The Bulls are down 0-2 to the Cavaliers and start at 8 PM Eastern and the 'Hawks are down 1-2 to Memphis and start up at 8:30 PM Eastern. Both need Chicago fan support at this point. See there is something positive about the Bears picking in the later rounds.

Since last year ive wanted a freak in the secondary, Taylor Mays has not been picked and is a friggin beast. Dont get me wrong, id rather get Nate Allen in thre 3rd, but he wont be there, guaranteed, probably Burnett either. Unheard of size and speed, dont care why other teams pass, what do they know?

On NFL Network, that whole best drafted players or whatever, his name was W. Peyton, that got under my skin. How insulting. Also when the guys were standing outside, it did it as well. Someone should get fired for that, his kids were there.

I predict we trade up to # 45 or so and take Nate Allen. We get a much later 3rd rounder and grab John Asamoah OG
