Louis Delmars was cut today from Detriot. The last two years he has been plagued by injuries,Detroit cut him because of the price of his contract this year. He was due to make 6 mil on a one year extension and they needed the cap space. If he can over come his injuries he would be a much better player than our two starters last year. He will come reasonable and I think we should kick the tires on him.

I found this article and thought it worth posting. The Bears have been very quiet regarding FA and with their recent contracts have put us in a spot with no cap room. I think we have one fairly good size contract in the offseason but the rest will be lower profile choices. I think we bring back Wooten but still need one. I think the one big one will be a DE along with the cutting of Peppers, this is highly probably. Choices: M. Bennett,L. Houston,M. Johnson, Hardy,Orakpo. We only have two drafts to judge by but what we do know. He sees the same team we do and has addressed weaknesses. Grant you, bad miss on the first year , kudos to last year's first round draft. I saw a note that Seattle was the first team since TB (02-03) that won the Super Bowl and had the best turnover ratio (+20) on the year. I thought that was odd, so I looked back the last 10 years to see how teams finished based solely on turnover ratio. Now I know there are a million ways to skin a cat in terms of backwards compiling data, but I found this one stat alone very interesting to say the least. I don't know if you can draw the same conclusions from pts scored, pts allowed, ranked defense, ranked offense, top 10 QB, top 10 running game, etc, but this data seems to have a very solid correlation between turnover ratio and wins. The bears who have always been a Defensive Minded Team is now an Offensive minded team, which is the trend of the NFL. The team that has the Best D beats the shit out of the team with the Best O. Last years SB had two Defensive Minded teams in the SB. If the Bears can some how get the D fixed to be at least in the TOP 15 with a Top 10 O I will like our chances.
