Between the draft and FAgency we need several spots to upgrade. We cant fix everything in one season,so these are the positions I think immediate upgrade. OL-I think we need to grab a 1st round OT, there seems to be 5 listed as 1st round grades, but will need more research to pinpoint what valve that will be at with the 20th pick. I also think we need to bring in a OG,OC in FAgency to add to the mix. Lance Louis will need to be resigned then possible names to go after Levirte-Buf (bright future) Valquiez-SD (a younger guy with some upside) for OC spots-Faine-Cinn or Koppen-Den would come from 2 stong Olines. TE-I think we can grab one in FAgency …

This guy got a lot more intriguing after reading this. By Dan Pompei and Vaughn McClure, Chicago Tribune reporters January 4, 2013 The Bears continue to give strong indications they lean toward hiring an offensive-minded head coach. The latest candidate to emerge on general manager Phil Emery's interview trail was Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, whom the Bears were granted permission to interview next week. Arians earned national recognition this season for guiding the Colts to a 9-3 record as interim head coach while Chuck Pagano battled leukemia. Arians, 60, also helped rookie quarterback Andrew Luck make a seamless transition to …

Lance Louis wont be back Webb, well insert any general insult Carimi, I think he is the weakest guy on team outside McClellin. But is young at least Garza, just fine. ------------------ OT - CLady, Beatty, Jake Long, Albert - Tier 1 at least one these guys will hit the market, I say break the bank We drafted two "LT" in 5 years and both suck OG - Levitre In my opinion 1 great OT can anchor the line. Like Madden Team Captain guy (humor) http://nfltraderumors.co/2013-nfl-free-agents-51-100/

http://my.chicagotribune.com/#story/chi-em...-move-20130101/ Thought he was clear and has a vision on the type of upbeat coach he is looking for. Forget the 3-4, he would have to be convinced this current roster can be converted for that. He wants a coach that can be creative and make plays that fit the talent we have.

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/17253566-41...-cap-space.html "There will be an incremental increase in the salary cap to $121 million, and the Bears’ combined cap number of their top 41 players is about $14.5 million under that." This offseason is going to be very interesting regardless of this season's outcome.

Guys that if you were the GM, you'd have to interview (and would be disappointed if Emery didn't). For me it is as follows: Mike Holmgren (my top choice) Andy Reid Bill O'Brien Mike McCoy Shanny Gruden Note: I'd have to at least put in a couple calls to Cowher's agent as well to see if there was any interest.

I see all the happy feet grave dancing on Lovie (and last year on JA) and I wonder how many of you really understand the big picture here. No, I'm not going to stick up for Smith because there's plenty of reasons over the last 9 years to say goodbye to him at this time. But this season at 10-6 with that god damn shitty O Line isn't one of them. I'm a Bears fan and I hope like hell Emery knows what he's doing but I saw no evidence in his personnel moves thus far that he honestly understood the most glaring problem he faced when he took over. You can't blame him for patching a few holes and giving Cutler some weapons but there's a long way to go guys. We won't likely be an…

So, as much as I despise the guy, Ray Lewis announced he is going to retire after the playoffs. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/...,0,959581.story Oddly enough I used him as a prime example for my teenage kid on how players that are good at what they do build up and sustain intensity for a game. Of course I realize that most players have their own routines but Lewis without question is one of the most visible when it comes to his intensity. For that I thank him and for what appears to be a dedicated player to the sport I cherish. So, why post that here on a Bears board? I heard earlier this year that if the Bears were to have made the Super Bowl,…

2013 Schedule HOME GB, MIN, DET, DAL, NYG, BAL, CIN, NO AWAY GB, MIN, DET, PHI, WAS, CLE, PIT, STL To me this seems like an incredibly tough schedule. The NFC East and AFC North are both tough divisions top to bottom.

Here we go, our only route to the playoffs is through Detroit with GB beating MIN. Since we can only draft in 2 spots, the draft position is irrelevant. They have also moved the GB/MIN game to a 3:25 pm start time with the flex scheduling. With the SF loss, GB is now the #2 seed; so in order to get a Bye, they need to win against MIN with SF playing ARZ.

The one guy on staff I would interview would be Toub. His ability to incorporate new players into his system and still maintain a top unit is intriguing. He also should know this roster top to bottom since he has to utilize starters and backups for his unit. Maybe he could follow the path of John Harbaugh and of course "Da Coach".

Been doing some thinking about Lovie's dismissal and a thought came to mind... Cutler has a year left on his contract and I don't think Emery knows what to do with him yet. To start, QB is the most important position in football. If Lovie were to go into next season as coach, with Emery knowing he doesn't know his ass from hole in the ground regarding QB's. How does Emery evaluate Cutler through Tice and Lovie. He's already heard a ton of BS regarding the OL. Now Emery has the opportunity to bring his guy in to look at Cutler. Trust me, that evaluation will set the franchise forward or back. To me this move was/is great for the future of our team.

I was thinking today at how the wins this season have been sort of "hollow", either we've played bad teams or teams at the right time (Indy Week 1), etc. So I took a look back until 2006 to see how many winning teams we beat during the season, and I found an interesting trend, we beat either 2 or 3 teams every season, no more, no less, regardless of our record. Check this out: 2006 - 2 wins, SEA and NYJ as we go 13-3. Can you believe we won 11 games against teams at 8-8 or worse? 2007 - 2 wins, both vs a 13-3 Green Bay team (we accounted for 2 of their 3 losses as we floundered to a 7-9 record) 2008 - 3 wins, vs IND Week 1, PHI, and MIN. We went 9-7 and missed…

RT @PSchrags: One logical name I've heard for Chicago OC job--Jedd Fisch. Both Cutler and Marshall were very fond of him while in Denver. Good fit in Chi.
