Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Try to keep it clean and most importantly BEAR DOWN! #BEARS #CHICAGOBEARS #BEARDOWN

  1. So who do you guys think are the winners and losers in this draft? To me, the Bears did well for themselves, but a couple of other teams did even better. Here are my picks. Best Drafts 1) Chiefs: oh man, they helped themselves a TON this year. Jon Baldwin gives them an explosive threat opposite Dwayne Bowe, and they're going to be able to throw all day in the red zone with those two plus Moeaki. Hudson was one of my favorite players in the draft: he'll be a great center. And their defense looks MILES better than last season. Houston and Tamba Hali are a scary pass-rush duo, plus Jerrell Powe and Allen Bailey add a lot of beef to their d-line rotation. 2)…

The draft got us 2 really good players, the last 3 are a head scatcher. My suggestions for FA's. There is rumors of going after Cullen Jenkins, of which we will spend alot for. a good move Also I think we will go after a OG of which we wont spend alot on, so I am throwing in the name Duece Lutui. big guy and mean. Also Richard Mashall/CB/from carolina- didnt get a long term extention, and with being friends with Peppers, maybe we get him here. Wont be expensive

I don't love him, but we knew the Bears were planning to take a developmental QB and he was probably the next one off the board. Good size and arm.

With the drafting of Chris Conte, there's an assumption the D Manning is gone. The thing is, will Manning even be a free agent? Pending more court rulings, there's a good chance the lock-out will again be lifted and that the NFL will use 2010 rules. Under those rules, Manning would again not be a free agent. On a side note, Manning had a good season and after 5 years, we finally discovered his best position is SS. I wouldn't mind having him back.

Bears draft a safety from Cal. Personally, I'm puzzled but my guess is we don't think Manning is coming back. I haven't heard any commentary yet on our pick. Still, I had other needs on our list that I would have opted for before taking this guy.

If Hankerson were to fall, this would be a perfect draft. If not, where do we go? Maybe a guard or CB?

The 127 pick overall . . . I like Paea. I hope it's worth giving up a 4th to go up 8 spots. We must not like the 4th round very much. We seem determined to get out of it. Either that or we plan on trading down our 3rd to get back in it (that seems more likely) I can't believe we'd have taken Paea if the Chiefs had drafted Carimi. Weird. Weird, weird, weird.
