Wow. Let's start at the top with Trubisky. He had time to throw and took full advantage of it dropping passes into the right location play after play. Numbers aside, he's still got room to grow but the most important aspect for me was seeing him confident in the pocket with his reads. Regardless of pass rush or not he looked like he knew where he should go with the ball on each play. With the recent OTAs a few things we learned. Ferguson is lighter which puts him in play for LDT position. I think with McDonald's circus life, Ego,and Ratliff moving to RDT that those will be our starting DTs. Forte's here and Marty is not. Funny thing is both Bennett brothers are holding out for their respective teams.

Based on Fox's comments last week, if Hoyer played well this week, he would keep the starting job. It will be interesting to see if they keep Cutler in street clothes. I am kind of torn on this. Do you play Cutler due to salary (and possibly as an audition), or do you play Hoyer with the intent to keep him as a bridging strategy going forward? at 50 if we don't have a LB prospect or DT prospect that is a good fit and a QB prospect is there I would pull the trigger especially if it Geno Smith. Getting him at 50 is great value and insurance for another Cutler injury. I'm not 100% comfortable with Mc Cown and Blanchard as 2 and 3. I want a QB in this draft but just like passing on Floyd and Ogletree in rd 1 passing on a Barkley and Smith at 50 is the same.
