Dont like the signing. Unless we already have a deal for Rolle/Atogwe... i dont see why they moved so fast. FS is a desperate need and relying on a 3rd rounder is BS Getting Chester Taylor is certainly a great back to have, but i dont like not filling a major need first

Cards traded Boldin and a 5th rounder for a 3rd and 4th rounder from Bmore. I guarantee if the Bears had draft picks they might have tried to do this. But as of now, I think they know that they had bigger fish to fry.

Wilson seems like a good fit for the Bears. Or can we go with Clark from Pittsburg or Atogwe from the Rams

Dez Clark refused to do interviews on the air (AM 1000 ESPN) because he reached out to the Bears and they have not returned his calls after the the signing of the TE today. He said as much in intervieiews after the season that he thought he could be replaced and with him already recieving a 475,000 dollar roster bonus and only due 1.5 mil he shouldn't be a cap casualty this year but it may come down to keeping him or Olsen.

Redskins interested in Rex Grossman Posted by Mike Florio on March 5, 2010 1:06 PM ET It's fitting, we suppose, that a year after the Broncos welcomed with open arms a failed former Bears quarterback, the former Broncos coach would be interested in another one. A league source tells us that the Washington Redskins are interested in Rex Grossman. Grossman, a first-round draft pick in 2003, left the Bears for the Texans in 2009. He won the backup job behind Matt Schaub, who had a Pro Bowl season. The offensive coordinator last year in Houston, Kyle Shanahan, is now the offensive coordinator in Washington. (Thanks, Rosenthal, for pointing out something…

Taylor says he didn't demand to be the starter in Chicago Posted by Mike Florio on March 5, 2010 5:36 PM ET Running back Chester Taylor, who jumped Friday from the Vikings to the Bears, told Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times that the veteran didn't condition his decision on being the starter. "I didn't come here like that," Taylor said. "[Matt Forte's] a great player. I'll come in with the mindset that we're teammates, but we'll compete." Right, but Taylor contract suggests that he's the top man on the totem pole, and that Forte is now the secondary player. Regardless of who's No. 1 or No. 2, Taylor realizes the importance of spreading the load. "…

Allright MadLith (and all other non-Lovie advocates), I will concede that if Lovie and Co. cannot pull it together this year and at the very least make it to the playoffs, away he (and they) go. With the additions of Peppers, Taylor, Manumaleuena (sp?), Cutler and who else??? then there is absolutely no excuse the Bears should not be contenders for the upcoming year...or for a few afterwards. This is another fantastic day in Bears history.

Briggs: Excited, but how about a safety Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs is following his team's free agent pursuits on Friday via the Internet, and while he liked what he saw early, he has a suggestion. The Bears set up interviews with top free agent Julius Peppers, as well as running back Chester Taylor. And the Bears have locked up tight end Brandon Manumaleuna for five years. "I'd be excited [to get Peppers]," Briggs said on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "Obviously, when you get a premier defensive end like Julius Peppers, he's going to help bolster any defense." Briggs was asked how he would like his defensive huddle in…
