As the new GM I resign St Clair, and add in free agency: Weaver/FB Floyd/WR G Wilson/SS E Wilson/FS and my draft is: 1----Oher/OT-Miss 2----Krueger/DE-Utah 3---Jennings/RB-Liberty 3b--Follett/LB-Cal 4---Knox/WR-Alb Cristian 5---Boone/OT-Ohio State 6---McGee/QB-Texas A M 7---Gill/DT-NW There isnt anything worth getting in FA for a QB so we might as well develope one of the three QBs we have the roster. We add Oher who could play RT or LT if Williams dont pan out and have Boone to back up the right tackle. Move St Clair to LG to help bring along Williams and Bruen…

Brandon Moore was the starting RG for the Jets the past 4 years or so and was cut to save cap. He's a great run blocker and would be a perfect replacement for Garza (who needs to go). He's only 28 and has only been playing the OLine for about 6 years and still has room to improve.

With a ton of holes and FA about to begin.... I want Chris Brown ( C) and Stacy Andrews (T) Also on the list would be Leanard Weaver (FB) and Eugene Wilson (FS). Just puttin it out there. I dont count on Andrews to do much...but the return on investment would be great if he can return to form. As far as Brown goes...we could use an established OL that is big enough and tough enough to kick Pat Williams butt 2 times a year. We'll have the cap space and should use it somewhere...this would be my pricey addition. I would still pick OL in the first round in this scenario but then begin to add some developmental weapons around an O-Line that can help out…

Players who could drop because of injuries: Brian Orakpo - hamstring Rey Maualuga - hamstring Michael Crabtree - Injured his foot Players who are just stupid Andre Smith I see a real possibility that one of these guys could fall to the Bears.

Got this idea off another board and thought it would be interesting to see your thoughts. What one player would you like to see the Bears draft and why. Try to include some player information/draft profile. (Please keep to players that are reasonable at 18 and with no trades.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Oher OT 6-6 322 Ole Miss [RT] (Even though this scenerio is very unlikely, some mocks have had Oher sliding lately and the Bears have talked to him.) Oher would be a steal at 18, even though he is better suited to play the LT which the …

As per PFT, Jenkins ran slower then expected, and teams may view him as a safety. Which would drop him out of the top 10, which means he could be available at #18. How would you like him as our safety? Here's what PFT said: JENKINS COULD BE SLIDING Posted by Mike Florio on February 24, 2009, 9:54 a.m. Tony Pauline of SI.com reports that Ohio State cornerback Malcolm Jenkins ran 40-yard dashes on Tuesday ranging from 4.52 to 4.58 seconds. Per Pauline, a number of scouts believed that Jenkins needed to break 4.50 in order to stay in the top ten of the draft. He also predicts that some teams will now begin grading Jenkins as a safety and not as a corne…

he is a little blip about the Browns trading Anderson...nothing about the Bears, but they said he could be had for a 3rd. Think the Bears would show some interest? http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Ru...?urn=nfl,142852

Lovie Smith announced this at the combine. He's no longer thinking about it, but he's going to make it official. Damn that sucks. I was really hoping after a couple of months off he'd reconsider. So that brings our money we have to spend to 31-32 million. Any thoughts on who we should spend it on now? (Other then St. Clair which has immediately become urgent.)

http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=518351 Mike Florio Profile | Archive | E-mail Florio Bears coach, GM are at a crucial crossroads E-MAIL PRINT COMMENTS 18 WATCH THIS TOPIC Posted: February 16, 2009 Last year, four downtrodden franchises made stunning turnarounds. And one of them made it to the Super Bowl. For most of the other 28 NFL teams, the appropriate reaction should be, "Thanks for nothing." With parity and the salary cap already eroding the five-year plan to three, at best, owners could be getting even more impatient in the wake of the resurgences of the Falcons, Dolphins, Ravens and Cardinals, who…

I know it's not going to happen because of the money involved and the fact that he wouldn't want to come to Chicago, but how awesome would it be if Ray Lewis signed with the Bears? Urlacher - Lewis - Briggs (HOLY SHIT) The other oddball idea about this is moving Urlacher back to his college position of Safety. --I don't want either to really happen, but what do you guys think? Is he another one of those players that you all don't want because he's a bad guy off the field?

The problem is do we sign St. Clair at RT then we need another swing OT who do we get one from FA or the draft. But at what spot in the draft #1 pick? We need a WR and a FS but same process and which rounds do you get them? These three positions are a must for the Bears. DE yes but not pressing just yet, SLB yet but not pressing, and RG. We should have alot of head sratching going on shortly folks.
