The rumors that have been swirling the past couple of days have come true and the Bills have traded Lee Evans to the Ravens for a 4th round pick.

In a move that is polar opposite from what the staff with the Bears do with holdouts,the Giants immediately put their star DE back with the first team when he was cleared to play and announced he would practice under the terms of his current contract. I wonder if maybe he will use the upcoming game against the Bears to solidfy his case for a new deal. The game in the Meadowlands last season should have been on his personal highlight film for 2010.

Davis but from what I read on Waters, he could be a good addition. Solid and familiar. However (and the other side of the coin) I recall this type of talk about Orlando Pace and well....you recall how that went. I read the part of how Waters' phone may not be ringing and with Davis still not signed I have to believe many teams are just waiting for cuts (say just before Preseason game 4) to make some last minute roster adjustments.

What an off season! I don't think we've ever witnessed a year of such great turnover. We were one of the oldest teams in the NFL last year and are now one of the youngest. Going into the off season, we identified OL, DB and WR as the weakest units and that is where the greatest attention was given. Great job guys! In my first summary of the KC game I stated that this team seemed organized. That was especially true for a new staff, new players, all running new systems and many coaches are in new roles. In his post-game press conference Eberflus was asked about that and this article sums up the preparation that went into that. One item he said that isn't in the article is that the decision to go for it on 4th down late in the game was given to Getsy early. So Allen Robinson is who we thought he was. Has anyone else watch the Rams games? He is literally jogging routes out there and barely blocks the refs. In 4 games, he has 9 receptions and 95 yards and is on pace for 38 receptions and 400 yds receiving. I am sure it will go up but not that much. He will probably end up with a season similar to last season's loaf-a-thon. The sad part is he would lead the Bears in receptions! That is how bad the passing attack has been. I went into this game expecting a total Mel Tuckeresque coverage disaster. Instead they all seemed to know their job. We have to credit Houston-Carson and Jaylon Johnson for keeping the young guys lined up properly during the game. Plus the coaches deserve a ton of credit getting them ready. It's one game so I'm not trying to go overboard but it certainly feels like this rookie group of DBs is giving us a solid depth/foundation for the future.
