Noots’ Notes-Game 5: 34-7 Win at Detroit By Michael Nudo The Bears (3-2) were led by an unexpected aerial attack from Kyle Orton to defeat the Detroit Lions. The Bears got out to an early lead and never let up against Detroit, who swept the Bears a year ago. The Orton-led Bears held a huge time of possession advantage over the Lions (38:15-21:45). Motown Masterpiece (AP Photo/Paul Sancya). OFFENSE QuarterbackKyle Orton (24-34-334, 2 TD) had his finest game as a professional. He only left a couple of plays on the field, but more than made up for it with the others he hit. He took one sack on a play he probably should have seen coming (see offensiv…

Didn't Detroit have the worst run defense, and we couldn't get 100 yards on them? I didn't get to see the game, so I'm shocked Forte only had 35 yards..

If this trend continues I can not see a QB taken in the first round for a long time. His play is everything so far we hoped for. And Tturner calling the plays the way he has is what I remember from his last stint with the Bears. Maybe.

I love both players but if one had to sit I think Vasher would have been my choice as I think Graham can replace Vasher better than Tillman. We need Tillman's height and ball-stripping ability on the field.

If you look at the Bears roster you will notice that we had 6 WR'S on it. After cutting Bradley we now have(simple math) five, but out of the five can you guess with one is over 6 foot tall?. The answer is none of them. Oh and by the way our WR'S that are over 6 foot(6'1 & 6-3) are on the practice squad. Is this the reason why Orton's throws are over their heads? And lets see, Davis has dropped a game winning pass on a drive, Hester dropped a sure TD, you throw to Booker what maybe four times, and you have MR Hand catch evrything(Hass)0 on the practice squad along with Mr 6-3 led the preseason in TD'S Rideau com on coaches. We cut Bradley and pick up a 5-11 188l…

Anybody know where I can find one of these? Like, a store in a local mall that makes these or something? I couldn't find one anywhere on eBay nor when I just typed it in on google. Any help is appreciated.

Health beat: Starting cornerbacks Charles Tillman (shoulder) and Nate Vasher (wrist) were limited in practice Friday and listed as questionable on the injury report, but both said they expected to play against the Lions. Booker (knee) was also limited and listed as questionable, while rookie left tackle Chris Williams practiced without restrictions and was listed as questionable. The first-round draft pick has been making steady progress in his rehabilitation from back surgery. “Chris Williams had another good day and he’s had a good week of practice,” said coach Lovie Smith. “That’s always good to get a player like that back into the mix.” http://www.ch…

I thought this was funny from the Sport's Guy's article at http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...=simmons/081003 "Which reminds me, here's my Dropsies All-Star Team through four weeks: Bernard Berrian and Andre Johnson (starting WRs); Daniel Graham (starting TE); everyone on Atlanta and Tennessee (backups); Ben Watson (injured reserve); and every fullback. Berrian has to be the MVP. I'd love to see a game show where he tries to catch various things -- keys, babies, jello, pop flies, knives, you name it. If you're ever holding a baby and leaning out of a burning building as Bernard Berrian says, "Throw the baby, throw it to me," I implore you to explore other …

INJURY REPORT AND IMPLICATIONS Chicago Bears (2-2) at Detroit Lions (0-3) By Michael Nudo The Bears are likely going to be missing leading receiver Brandon Lloyd (AP Photo/Nam Y.Huh). BEARS OFFENSEcolor> vs. LIONS DEFENSEcolor> The Bears were pleased wide receiver/return specialist Devin Hester (rib) returned to action last week. He arrived in the nick of time, as leading receiver Brandon Lloyd left the game with a knee injury. Lloyd’s injury didn’t look season ending. He didn’t seem to suffer a stability related injury. It looked more like his knee hit the turf pretty hard. Marty Booker (knee) is also banged up. The Bears brought back receiver M…

It seems like the Bears have been in the lead all season, but only have a 2-2 record to show for it. I was wondering in the four games they have played this season, how many minutes have they been in the lead and how many have they been trailing? The Answer The Bears have led for 170:37 of 250:39 minutes this season, or 68.1 percent of the time. The score has been tied during 46:21 (18.5 percent) and Chicago has trailed for only 33:41 (13.4 percent). The Bears did not trail in Sunday night’s win over the Eagles and trailed in their other win this season for just :53 at Indianapolis. The Bears have led for 56:01 of 60 minutes in the fourth quarter this season.
