I have no problem with the Bears holding out TJ. There is nothing to lose at this point. They already have a bye week, which is the most important thing. Homefield is nice, but if your players are hurt, it doesn't matter where you play. Health>home field

I will say this much, the Bears do an incredible job of managing the cap by giving young players long deals, which in the NFL structure has zero risk to it.

He would make a great decoy for things like reverses and other trick plays.

I still believe that Rex is the best QB on the Bears roster, but it has gotten to the point where you are doing more harm than good by keeping Rex out there if he is playing this badly. If he sucks in the first half, you have to make the move.

Welcome to the site. Yeah, it is pretty crazy to think at this point of the season the Bears would have clinched, and the Saints/Cowboys would be playing a game that meant something other than draft position.

I think Rex is on pretty close to his last chance. I don't want to see Greise, but if Rex has another shitty game, Lovie may well have to play Brian. If Greise does play, then it becomes interesting to see how he does on the field.
