Wow, reading the Trib today, there were some guys on the team who were pretty upset to see Harris dealt away. They had a lot of really nice things to say about the guy.

It could if Leak does something impressive. Too bad they cut O' Sullivan, because I'll bet he had a better chance of getting Griese cut than Leak does.

They had Jerry Angelo on the radio yesterday, and they said Carolina has been after Harris for a couple of months now. I do like the deal when you look at it as getting a good starting DT for a guy who was our 4th safety (according to JA). If you can make deals like that on a regular basis, you are going to win some games.

Might as well get something for the kid. Its dealing from a position of strength.

I'm not disagreeing with it being not smart, but I am looking at the press coming out of Bears camp. Griese isn't even getting mentioned, after almost being the starter at points last year. It doesn't quite add up.

They are really pushing Orton as the #2. I can't imagine Griese going quietly into the #3 spot and holding a clipboard. maybe they are just trying to motivate the guy or something.

They drafted Okwo out of Stanford with the Bears second-third round pick.

I would be shocked if Briggs is back. He got the Thomas Jones handshake deal to be let walk away after this year, I really think.

Wow talk about a quick strike! Angelo isn't messing around with getting a core of guys signed for a very long time. This really is a cap friendly deal too, when you start thinking about what Harris is going to be looking for after deals like the Dwight Freeney jawdropper.

All he has to do is take attention away from Harris and stuff the run. If we get one of those two things from him, this defense is the best in the NFL.
