  1. Eh, I wouldn't read too much into it. They want AP to concentrate on special teams, and this gives them a solid veteran #2 back.
  2. Wow they cut Runnels, QUICK.
  3. I might be alone on this, but I'd kick the tires on Dante. I think talent-wise he has a higher ceiling than anyone we have on our roster now. I just wonder if his knee is 100% again.
  4. Yeah, it should be pinned, I don' t know why it isn't?
  5. The suspension sounds fair to me, and I really like the commish giving the player control of his own fate to shorten the suspension. I hope Johnson is smart enough to take advantage of that chance.
  6. That checks off a couple more things off of the off season to do list...
  7. I would bet everyone except Olsen is signed by the end of May.
  8. I wonder how progress is going with Olsen?
  9. Cap-wise, what does McNabbs contract look like? Front-loaded? Backloaded? Even throughout?
  10. I like the idea, but they have GOT work on his fumbling. The Bears cannot afford turnovers on offense.
  11. Not for the Bears it isn't... They lock these kids up long term to keep them cheap if they break out. Look at Briggs deal for example.
  12. Whatever. If he doesn't want competition, he needs to find a government job or something.
  13. I don't understand that either. It makes no sense for a marginal guy to turn down chances to impress.
  14. They waited to see if they liked the receivers they had in their rookie camp. The obviously like enough of them that they felt Currie was going to be gone anyway.
  15. The Bears are known for making picks and these type of players sign 4 year deals to make them give up their RFA years. That is one of the reasons Briggs is so bitter. The Bears had him at a huge bargain because of his rookie contract and wouldn't renegotiate.
  16. Currie had his chance, and now there are new kids on the block. It was time for him to go.
  17. If that is what he wanted, he wouldn't have Rosenhaus as an agent.
  18. My guess is that he is trying to get either a short-term deal so that if he succeeds, he can jump ship right away, or he is trying to get a bunch of bonus money up front, that no one wants to give him.
  19. He is not going to show up, there is no drama.
  20. They had a nice write up on Ball in the Sunday Trib. I guess the guy was a state champion high jumper.
  21. How does that change a third and long situation, or any other situation where you put the QB into a muss-pass down?
  22. With Leak brought into camp, Orton might not even be on this team.
  23. Wow. We couldn't throw that at him? That's crazy. They must be really happy with Divoracek and the draft.
  24. Any word about what the contract looks like?
  25. I think he ends up just over 1000 yards and around 10 TD. The problem is that he is going to get Rex hurt by missing a key block at some point.
