  1. Again, we don't know that...put either of them out on an island in Martz's offense like Webb and we'll see.
  2. Either one of those looks like it has a guy people think of as "Best at RT" playing LT...
  3. They're probably going to have to leave some money available to extend Marshall this year as well.
  4. I can't believe Marshall would seriously have been available for 2 3rd's if it weren't for the Fins making a play for Manning.
  5. Now that the WR position has been filled and a number of the top dollar guys are off the market, it's more difficult to know where the Bears might go with the rest of their cash. A single addition at one of those positions could move it out of the group of positions the Bears would draft at.
  6. Tampa Bay is supposedly making a large push on Nicks, and he'd probably be a better fit there. They also still have a ton of cap space and have to spend it to make sure they're no where close to the minimums when those kick in,.
  7. This is not the only Bears player who has had "Character issues" that the team has had to figure out a way to deal with.
  8. Actually, I'm not sure what the cap impact will be, his number for the dolphins was supposedly substantial enough that it would ahve made signing Manning + Manning's guys a problem. Things always get really funky when a guy is traded though.
  9. The only plausible benefit for the Fins is that they just cleared a bit cap hit, Marshall's cap number for them was supposedly ~$11 million. Now they have cleared money to make a run at Manning +, if that's how they want to do it.
  10. In case anyone didn't get it, after the other thread...Definitely Williams.
  11. Awesome, it's not both of this year's thirds? Even better. I was a bit confused cause i thought one of those was untradeable.
  12. Holy crap, didn't believe that. Miami is crazy.
  13. There's every reason to think this is a position the Bears will look to add more people to, but now they're in a good spot where they can use one of their 3rd round picks or that 2nd rounder on a CB if there's one they like, and he deosn't have to step in and be the #2 CB on day 1.

  15. Just to illustrate how complex that is...does that or does that not include carryover cap space?
  16. I know nothing has broken yet but this definitely has the feel of the day the Bears made the Peppers/Taylor/Manumaleuseless signings. Everyone knows the Bears have cap room, everyone knows what their needs are, everyone knows if they make their moves they're a SB threat.
  17. Sounds like a small hometown discount. Really, seriously need to come away with Jackson now, he's the only one left standing.
  18. I'm going to go with Jackson, because regardless of attitude issues, the Bears WR need is simply that great.
  19. Kinda makes sense but also kinda nuts.
  20. Hutchinson meeting with the Titans today
  21. If they sign Mario Williams then that 1st pick almost has to be a WR, and they still need help beyond that.
  22. Really? I feel like the DE position tends to get paid a lot more than the WR position
  23. If the Bears want to go for the big DE score and have monsters on both sides, they still need to find WR parts, and RM would be a reasonable one.
  24. And in that case, TE immediately becomes a high priority position.
