Braylon Edwards released
And the guy has been hurt pretty much the whole year, which has impeded his ability to produce. If he's not going to be 100% next year, then obviously you look elsewhere.

JA to have money freedom
Name a top level WR who doesn't have those "Idiot issues"?

Gruden returning to coaching...
If you want a critique of Lovie, I'd say it's in player development. He's had regular infusions of drafted guys at positions of need who haven't produced, some of whom, like Mark Anderson, have gone on to having bigger success elsewhere.

Things that need to happen for 2012
It seems like this happens with a lot of teams. this week, for example, it's happening to the Jets.

Barber can go
If the Bears can hold onto Bell, that more than covers the RB depth for next year.

Braylon Edwards released
I wouldn't call Edwards a "1 year wonder", but he's also not going to transform this offense the way other guys could. Teamed with another wr, either from the draft or FA, that could make a solid group. Floyd/Bennett/Edwards/knox/Dane...that's starting to become a threatening group, for exqmple.

Braylon Edwards released
He had a 2010 with nearly 1000 yards and 53 catches, while Williams has hung around 35 catches and 550 ish yards since he first left Detroit.

Free Agent /Wish list-be realistic
No idea how healthy he'll be, but if Steve Smith is healthy enough to play and the Bears are willing to add 2 WR's, he might be a great pairing with Cutler.

Free Agent /Wish list-be realistic
Free Agency unfortunately happens first. You have to do your free agent pickings first. If you can get a WR in FA, you simply cannot hesitate. It has to happen. And a veteran DE would be a really nice gift as well. After that, see how the draft turns when the draft turns a few months later. You want to go into the draft with a team you'd be happy to compete with, with the draft used to fill in the blanks/bench/guys who can take over in a year or two. That said, the first round pick ought to be able to step in where there's a need...but if the team is spending money on FA's, the goal is to not leave a need.

Free Agent /Wish list-be realistic
Is Robert Mathis a FA? That would be a solid addition for this roster as well.

Braylon Edwards released
How healthy will he be next August?

Roy Williams
Roy Williams would work out as a 3rd/4th option, but he's just so unreliable.

JA to have money freedom
Glad someone liked it . Give me those 2 and I won't be nearly as mad if we spend another 1st rounder on O-Line.

JA to have money freedom
I'll go Vincent Jackson and Mario Williams.

Bears @ Packers, 12/25/11
The question for Frisco is going to be playing in GB, outdoors, in january. The conditions might well actually favor SF, they're better runners, they're better defensively, but they're also from San Fran, they won't be used to it.

Bears @ Packers, 12/25/11
Bears at least made a game of it.

Bears @ Packers, 12/25/11
Bears have actually outgained the Pack for the first 17:30, winning time of possession too. Just losing on the scoreboard.

2012 Offensive Starters
Let's also remember...Webb is a 23 year old in his 2nd season in the NFL. Even top 5 picks tend to be fairly inconsistent when they're 23 and barely into the NFL. If you're going to try to replace him in the first round...you're likely to continue seeing inconsistent play there for at least a year or two, because that is the norm even for really good rookie LT's. If you're replacing him, it ought to be a guy who can step in immediately and just own that position for a while. It needs to be a major, FA upgrade. If the Bears are just going to spend like crazy this offseason, that's not a bad move, but that's the level it needs to be at if it's going to happen, and it shouldn't be so much that it prevents the Bears from addressing other positions. The reason to make that move is that Cutler, Forte, and the defense are ready to win right now, and Webb might still need a couple years. That's got to be the biggest motivation. But that also means that a draft pick at that spot has the same problems...not being ready to win now.
