  1. Why would he go on IR (and hence miss the whole season) for a concussion?
  2. It's worth wondering about...but also take a moment and note that those stats really aren't great for a half of football, esp. if your team isn't having success running the ball. It's a high completion percentage, but the YPA is very low. That kind of stat line suggests to me that your team is struggling to move the ball in large chunks, so you're checking down to the RB/TE a lot, throwing a lot of screens, etc. Easy, high-percentage completions with very little added after the catch. Plus you throw in a legitimate sack or two such that the passing game marches backwards a bit.
  3. Turnovers, esp. fumbles like the ones the Bears had...can definitely be a coaching problem. In game 1...that could well mean that they just didn't pay enough attention in TC to the old "Hold on to the ball" practice.
  4. Getting that up to 464 would sure have been nice.
  5. "You, Urlacher...don't get hurt!" -effective coaching.
  6. Ryan Grant had a walking boot on later in the game. I think he's gone for a good whiel.
  7. GB's offensive line hasn't looked great against Philly, but Philly is going to lose because their O started with nothing and now Kolb is hurt.
  8. I don't know how good/bad Dallas will be this year...but if the Bears played exactly this game they'd lose next week. If the Bears played exactly this game but held onto the football, I think they'd have a real good shot.
  9. I can generally understand the prevent at some level...but you can't put it in too early otherwise a team can carve you up too quickly. The Bears put it in too early. IT's really kind of remarkable how every fan out there will seem to say "I hate the prevent defense!" because every fanbase has seen their team lose repeatedly by putting that into action too early. It really is bizarre. Of course...if the Bears had an 8 point lead after a field goal and a touchdown, the Prevent defense would have been excellent.
  10. Typically I tend to be guy who's soft on coaches, organizations, etc. That was one of the worst head coach decisions I've ever seen.
  11. At least a couple of those sacks were "coverage" sacks. One of them the Bears held the full set of TE's in, only sent out 2 WR, and Cutler had forever to throw the ball; he just didn't have anyone open to throw it to.
  12. I wouldn't describe the offense as "Hideously bad" at all. I'd say the offense did a hideous job of holding on to the ball. Outside of that, they moved the ball effectively the whole game.
  13. I dunno, that seemed like Johnson half spiked the ball and half lost control of it on the spike.
  14. Ok, having the former head of officiating on call? That was cool.
  15. Suddenly the defense looks like swiss cheese
  16. Eh, that one I can at least say was broken up. THat one in the end zone earlier was much worse.
  17. Just winded and probably a bruise somewhere from the landing. He'll get an offday tomorrow and probably be ready to go.
  18. LOL the Bears totally marching backwards.
  19. Nice catch Olsen. This game could well come down to a 50 yard FG attempt here.
  20. I don't care if it did work, not taking the points there was awful.
