Justin McCariens
I agree, go for McCarians, if that doesnt work try to sign Rogers. What would we need to give up for McCarians anyway.

Haynes exits an angry man...
I didnt hear this. We let his trade value dwindle down too low. Im suprised they did this with the injuries to Dvorack and Alex Brown on the d-line.

Benson demoted
Thats what I was thinking the whole time people were worked up about him starting, it doesnt guarentee him to start the season.

Anyone want a good laugh?
This article is a joke. If I was gonna pick a team besides the Bears to win the North it would be the Vikings. The Lions are lacking in several areas.

Charles Rogers
He definately has a lot of potential. Watching him and Smoker in college makes me think hes worth a shot. A change of scenerie would probably do a lot for him.

Will Desmond Clark Be Our Starter
I definately think Clark is gonna be the starter this season. A lot of us thought we needed to upgrade at tight end, and Im one of them, but Im assuming they are keeping him around because of his runblock ability

Straight from Griese's Mouth
Its kind of a lose /lose thing for Brian to talk about. It wouldnt look good if he said he was better either. He probably just should of said he was feeling more comfortable every week and that he thought the offense was really reacting well to him. I dont know if its a good idea to say the defenses are bad and theyre not eveing blitzing.

Alex Brown Seperates Shoulder
I dont know if I understood that right, so hes only gonna miss week one of the regular season? I hope thats all, having a good pass rush was the key to our defensive success last year.

Benson demoted
He can play without starting, Jones did nothing to lose the job, if you went by these standards Ryan Leaf would still be playing.

Preseason Game 3: Bears vs Cardinals
Did anyone just hear them ask Ditka if Jones needs to perform the most? I think Rex needs to make a statement tonight more then anyone.
-
Deion Branch
Swapping number ones but getting a 27 year old in exchange for Moose, what is he 32 I think?
-
Preseason Game 3: Bears vs Cardinals
Wow, I didnt even notice this, Im gonna have to take a break from Madden Bears on top of Sox/Twins, Im glad I chose to not go out until tomorrow
-
Deion Branch
Whats funny is that would be the kind of trade they would be looking for if some picks were added, of course you know moose would have another year like he did in '04

Deion Branch
I read about this earlier and I am a little unsure about it. He is a good receiver but he seems to me like he would have a huge drop off not having the luxury of having Tom Brady throwing to him. He is kind of like Reggie Wayne to me where if you put either one of them in a different system they wouldnt be nearly as good. He would obviously be an upgrade for us and he has some wheels but Im pretty sure the Patriots are gonna want a decent amount for a super bowl mvp that is only 27 years old. Especially because he is pretty much their only receiving threat. They are going to want offensive help on top of draft choices IMO. I wouldnt be suprised to hear them talk to Oakland about packaging Porter and maybe a third rounder for him. Pretty much any of the trade scenarios we were looking at for a wide reciever is what they will be looking for but they have more to offer. I think it will blow over and they will end up resigning his contract. When he does resign its not gonna be cheap.

Dusty Back in Practice on Wednesday
Ill be the first to admit I am completely clueless who this guy his and had never heard of him till the draft. From the little Ive heard about him he seems like he has potential to be a Chris Hovan type on the line and bring a lot of emotion. I hope he becomes a contributer.

Ricky Manning Jr.
Thats a very good point. A lot of the reason for out defenses success last years was because of our defensive lines ability to get in the backfield, especially the ends. I think Tommie Harris is gonna emerge as dominant defensive tackle and Alex Brown streakiness will start to level out and make him more of a threat. I also think Hunter will improve every game as he learns the position more and more. We have some ball hawks in the secondary and also have some spped and hitting. I wasnt sure if they had done it already but the idea of Harris moving to strong and either Brown or Manning playing free could help both the pass and run games.

Charles Rogers - May Get Cut
I rember watching him play at MSU with Smoker I thought he was a for sure star in the NFL but now that seems so long ago. If he can overcome all his other problems lots of teams would shop him Im sure.

Bears Trade Friedman to Browns
Anytime you can trade a guy who wasnt gonna make the team for a draft pick that seems like a bonus to me.
-
Charles Rogers - May Get Cut
I guess thats kinda true about Warner and Bulger they just seemed to have more big play potential then a guy like Kitna. He to me seems like a guy who plays it safe more to prevent mistakes.
-
Charles Rogers - May Get Cut
Kitna is definately better then Harrington but he isnt the guy who is gonna get the most out of receivers like Williams and Williams. Hes more of a dip and dunk guy which to me doestn seem like a guy Martz will strive with.
-
Charles Rogers - May Get Cut
They still dont have anyone to get them the ball anyway
-
Charles Rogers - May Get Cut
I intailed Rogers in an earlier post. He can be a good player but seems to have a ton of baggage. Hed be a good candidate for an incentive laden contract. If the numbers were right I wouldnt mind giving him a shot. No way would I want to invest much in him.
-
Ricky Manning Jr.
I love the depth they added to our secondary. We have a nice combination of speedsters and big hitters too. I expect to see there be a few different packages depending on who were playing.
-
First Jones, Now Our WR's are Back
Its good to see these guys are ready to play but I doubt theyll get much playing time to avoid any of them getting reinjuerd. It is important for Rex to get at least a few series with them to create a fluidity with the offense which is important.

Thomas Jones Will Start Friday
Its good to see hell be back in the lineup but I dont expect him to get many carries.
