  1. I didnt get to see the game yet but from what Im hearing it didnt go well. I wouldnt put that much stock in it, the COlts havent won a preseason game in 2 years.
  2. Where did you hear that Urlacher and Brown were the only ones not in the training room to comfort him? Im not doubting it, I just didnt hear that. I still think there is no way that any players on our defense would intentionally hurt our starting running back. They might have givin him a little harder of a pop, but I dont think they would want to hurt him.
  3. Im not a big fan of this article, however it was an interesting read. Where was this from again, those are strong words from a sports writer. This doesnt hold any water to me though because I dont think 2 leaders like Urlacher and Brown would do anything like this knowing the trade potential of Jones and also the fact that he was injured before the hit on Benson occured. That would be suicide for a team with super bowl aspirations to try to hurt their starting running back whether they like him or not when your backup is already injured and has been linked to more trades then JP Morgan. Unless they bought stock in a company that makes Adrien Peterson jerseys. I also dont agree with Benson starting but at the current time they didnt have much of a choice. Who knew what was gonna happen with Jones, they needed the starter to be in camp. Briggs wasnt the starter till he got to camp. It also doesnt mean Benson would of started opening day, Hutchinson was named our starter when Grossman went down and he didnt even make the team.
  4. ya, thats true, it is pretty unlikely, I think the only way it would benefit us is the draft pick, we are probably gonna need jones
  5. This is a little obvious, its commen sense that the less a defense is on the field the better theyre gonna do. The 3 and outs the Bears offense constantly had in the beginning of last season makes you realize how good that defense really was.
  6. I wouldnt mind Jones for McCaerins (SP) and a early second day pick. I dont think Coles it what we need because he is very similair to Berrian/Bradly in terms of receiver type. If they were for sure going to trade him I wouldnt mind this, other wise keep him around.
  7. This is a good trade for the Bears, simply because if Lelie starting flaking outr we could cut him and its not a huge loss because Haynes doesnt play anyway. I would like to see this trade. The one for Jones was too much on our part though.
  8. I think I would like to see Bradley lock down the spot with our current roster. Last year he seemed to be coming together an that was with Orten throwing to him. I think he has the potential to be a good 2nd receiver hands wise and also has enough speen to play in the slot. Berrian will also be a good contributer but he has had more time to develop and hasnt showed the flashes of greatness Bradley did a few times last year
  9. Orton managed the games well enough to get us into the playoffs. His numbers werent very good, and he definately overthrew a lot of passes but he got the job done ultimately. I dont know how many qbs would create that kind of energy like that Atlanta game.
  10. I am very confident in Rex, I think the energy that came when he entered the Atlanta game shows what kind of leader he is. He is a special quarterback in my opinion and I am excited to see him succeed in a Bears uniform. I also hope that dropping to third string doesnt lead to the fall out of Orten, he can be successfull in the NFL.
  11. Id like to see Davis on the roster as opposed to Bragg simply because of his versatility.
  12. That is a pretty good site, it makes me wonder what they are gonna do with Jones though.
  13. Who would really want to talk to Drew anyway?
  14. Should we be more excited that our d2 rookie picked off two passes, or more concerned our veteran qb threw 2 picks to a d2 rookie? Just kidding.
  15. Isnt tatum Bell supposed to be a good back. If they were to throw in Bell packaged with Lelie I wouldnt be opposed to giving them TJ and say a 3rd or fourth. We get a possible feature back and a disgruntled receiver who could easily fill our number two spot.
  16. Out of the receivers that are possiblilities he is the last I would want. I think Porter has the most talent of the group.
  17. so much for that idea, any trade value he had will be gone withthis injury
  18. They were just talking to sxy rexy on the score and they brought up that he has said in the past that he looks at other teams and wishes he could have a tight end that produces more.
  19. I heard it was during a physical too. I dont know what they do in NFL physicals but in HS, with the exceotion of the old turn and cough, I couldnt forsee getting hurt. Does anyone think this could be some sort of ploy? This will really put the heat on Benson and give him what he wanted. AP has to be licking his chops too.
  20. Is this for real? If it is that could be bad. Also doesnt the pup list mean theyre out for the year. Like Columbo.
  21. I agree in that respect. Porter and Branch are better talents but I think Porters mouth is too much and Branch only benefited from a great qb.
  22. KFFL says Smith and slick have no interest in him. Im for one kind of glad about it because he seems to be an underacheiver and hasnt shown much but speed in my opinion. Would any of you guys like to of seen us give him a shot or are you confident in our number two receiver slot already?
  23. Thats a great article. I think everyone will agree with all that stuff. We all know what we did right and wrong last year so lets hope they improve on the things that hurt them in the games they lost. Moose definately needs to hang on to the ball and seperate himself as the number one receiver. Either Berrian or Bradly needs to have the break out year weve been waiting on. Rex needs to stay on the field(obviosuly) Briggs and Urlacher need an encore performance of last year. Most importantly, improvement wise, is one of our corners stepping up and being able to shut down dominant receiver. Im still rattled about Tillmans job on Smith because I recall him playing excellently on Moss most of the time.
  24. Yeah, I dont know about this one either. It is always interesting to see him run the ball. I wonder if he had to carry the ball 15-20 times a games what his average would look like. He was great in college though. About the Holdman thing it doesnt suprise me that much that he has been doing so poorly since he left Chicago. He had Urlacher and Colvin getting all the attention and ran around free to make plays. I know Washington has good LBs but nowhere near what we had here in Chicago.
