They wouldnt be able to get much for him would they. Hes over 30 ( I believe) and has failed miserably in two other systems. What teams are in the market for a back possibly? Indy,San Fran, New England, Cleveland. I cant see us getting anything remotely better then a fourth rounder. He might give Benson a spark though and isnt being paid too much anyway.

His stupid eating laptop comment aside this guy is an idiot. He never really seems to have anything positive to say. The key to this offense is health and fluidity. These young guys have been around for a few years now and each one showed at one point last season flashes of what they can be if they gel. Good line play and keeping the defense honest against the run will be the key to success along with a healthy Grossman.

I used to be a huge advocate for Jones having to be the starter but I have a feeling he is going to start creating problems with hold outs and complaining about carries. No one really knows how Benson will be but they are planning on him being the future back. If he doesnt work out Jones will be there as a temporary solution. Whens Duece McCallister gonna be available anyway JK

All the depth they added was at corner. Having an experienced safety would be good. I wonder if he would be ok signing as a backup. He could start for quite a few teams.

I am still dumbfounded by thomas jones. He sure seems to complain a lot for after the bears gave him the opportunity to be a feature back after failing everywhere else. Im pretty sure no one is gonna pay him big money and if he went to another team he would probably put up poor numbers.

I completely agree. I think Hester could immediately come inand play nickle and and even shadow around receivers on other teams that have a lot of speed. We definately need some more athleticism in the secondary.

I heard that too. I dont think Q was valuable ebough where I would want him to start but he is good to add depth. Our O line isnt getting any younger.

He does kind of remind me of a poor mans Tiki Barber/Priest Holmes but were gonna have to get ready for a change in the next year or so. This increases the need of a pass catching tight end next off season greatly if were not gonna have a back to dump off to.

I hate to have to look ahead ahead especially so early but we are gonna have to add another backer next offseason. I really dont think there is any way were gonna resign Briggs and having another linebacker to take the heat off of Urlacher has done wonders for the defense both in '01 and last year. I dont know much about the rookie but Im not gonna overlook him becasue he was a fourth rounder. Hopefully he can come in a contribute this year and get some experience.

I think the biggest hurdle this year is first to win some primetime games then they should have more confidence if they had a home playoff game.

That could be huge for our offense having thunder/lightning like that. I hope Cedric Benson plays to what he was expected of out of college. I think most people have forgotten about his contract problems and are willing to let him try to earn it now. He did look good in his brief runs last year. This might be the last year of Thomas Jones. For some reason I can see Jones wanting a big contract and going to another team and completely bombing. He seemed to fit in our system well and Im not confident i his success in a city that would use him differently.

Thats a lot of depth at corner for not having a shut down corner. Lets hope Vasher can emerge as our shut down guy. The Bears need someone to counter teams with a guy like Steve Smith to compete. I think Hester might be the guy too. Kids got some wheels.

I still gotta admit it was weird seeing crash as a niminee on any team but the Sox. Im pretty sure Gary Matthews catch is gonna be a nominee next year. The catch from the college player was amazing though.

I went to the Bears/Cowboys thanksgiving game in Dallas two years ago. I wasnt very popular there

I think the definate that the Bears need to contend is a healthy Grossman. He gives the Bears the bestchance to win and needs to stay healthy.

Im not concerned with it that much either but I do like to watch because its entertaining. The logisitcs of best team fits the sox to a tee and for them not to win is just suprising.

I think Lovie has overexceeded expectations lets hope he is capable of bringing the team to the next level.

Thats pretty interesting. I also think it would take a lot for the Bears to win a Super Bowl. They have been taking the proper steps though and are improving every year. I think the its a good thing we have three primetime games. Since '01 the Bears achilles heal seems to be performing in the big game. A la their last two playoff games and monday night games. It should be good experience playing in the public spotlight to see if they can overcome the national media.

I know its just eson and we shouldnt really care I was just interested in seeing peoples reactions to the ESPYs. First off I think Lance did a good job hosting and thought his jokes about the French were pretty funny. I wasnt suprised that Urlacher didnt win for best NFL player because I knew it would go to Alexander but curious what you guys though. Also, thogh Vashers return was amazing, that catch was one of the best Ive seen in a long time so I dont think that was a big deal. I know this is off topic but I also know a lot of you are Sox fans and just wanted to see if anybody else though it was as rediculous as me that the Steelers won best team. The Steelers were picked to win their division pre season and played sub par all year and win the wild card. They did good in the post season but never really dominated any teams and always seemed to squeak by. The Sox were in first place from wire to wire. Absolutely dominated through the post season. Had some of the most dramatic finishes in the world series anyone has ever seen, Four post season consecutive complete games, no real superstars, beat the legend roger clemons, were underdogs the whole year and still produced. I dont think Ive ever seen a TEAM more deserving of this award and it still bothers me they didnt get it. Oh well, Im dont venting now. Anybody elses thoughts on the ESPYS in general would be nice.

We cant rule out the possibility of it being a former player or the increase there will be of them in the booth and on the sidelines these days. You know Deion will be around, Sterling, Irvin of course, Aikman, Marino. Anyone think Rice might end up announcing some day. Hes a little soft spoken but his knowledge is huge and people really respect him.

I remember the game where Bradley wentdown last year it really seemed like him and Orton actually had developed a chemistry and like he could be more of the possesion sure handed receiver we thought we were getting in Moose. Moose will play better because Grossmans there and we all remember how he didnt care for Ortons offensive production.

Ill be the first to admit I wasnt happy with the draft but our main probelm on denfense was depth and athleticism in the secondary. By adding, Devin Hester, Daniel Manning, Ricky Manning JR and Dusty Dvorak the have plugged any question marks they have and may be in the works of creating a historic defense. I have said in other post I think TE should have been addressed better. Their defense this offseason seemes to be handled perfect with the exception of resigning Briggs. Which might pay off and give us a monster contract season from him and then if needed he could be franchised after that,

I normally have bad experiences with them, I did however manage to get through and get ALCS tix last year on the phone. The more I think about it, its pretty crazy.
