To answer your first question, ranked and unranked just means if the game counts on your record or not. the quick match just means they find you an opponent searching for the same settings as opposed to going into a chat room and finding them.

Playing online is a lot different than playing people in the room with you. it takes a while to get used to. I cant stand playing people like you described wither. Its just annoying.

I heard Chris Snee do an interview on Sirius NFL and the guy asked him how much he thought he would play and Snee basically laughed and said the whole game and than reiterated that this isnt a preseason game and they are playing it like they need to win. I found it positive.
