Im not sure you caught the gist of my post. I wasnt trying to say you dont need to pass to be successful, I was commenting that I thought the article was accurate in response to Bearsox saying you dont need to pass to win a Super Bowl.

They dont say you absolutely have to have the top passing attack to be successful, its just pointing out that the top 4 teams in the NFL record wise are the top four passing teams. Obviously you can have success other ways.

Brown is still under contract why would they release him. If the Bears go into next season with McGowan and Manning as the safeties they wont be able to run the cover 2 effectively.

I really hope we keep Alex Brown and start him next year and use Anderson as a situational pass rusher.

They obviously need to address the O line and they absolutely need to upgrade at WR or at RB. We dont have enough WR talent to overcompensate for no running game and vice versa. As far as Benson goes, he is never gonna be anything what we expected when he was drafted. Sure the o line isnt helping but that doesnt change the fact that he cant break arm tackles, he cant cut back, he cant block and he cant catch. Until we have a running game that teams have to respect its going to be very difficult to keep defenses honest.
