Not a huge fan, but I like the signing. It's short term. Whichprobalbymeans we will attempt to bring in youth either in FA or the draft.
I'm assuming the hit is cap friendly since Cliff is involved.
He did alright.
Certainly better than some we've had in the same position!
I just can't help thinking "Douchebag" when I see the topic "Some DB Notes"...like Marmalarde from "Animal House" has a quote or something!
Agreed.
Our D lacks a leader.
Not sure if anyone on board can step up until the former great step aside. That includes Peppy, Peanut and Briggs. However, of the lot, I think Briggs is the biggest hinderence from a leadership perspective.
Many a GM has been limited in picks without whiffing and failing so often. Additionally, just because Cutler wasn't there doesn't mean its OK to completely avoid drafting OL for 5 years... After the SB loss, the guy couldn't hit the side of a barn with a ball while standing 2 inches in front of it.
Angelo really said nothing wrong. And he chould have known before pulling the trigger. But, I still think the trigger would get pulled anyway. The risk and return was there. Hindsighte is 20/20. Angelo's fail wasn't signing Cutler...it was not giving him an OL...and a leaving our team without viable backups.
And not checking a box.
Know it well!
My grandma would also make these amazing pickled mushrooms. I think they were dried porchini, but called bataveikla (sp?). She would pick them herself when she was a littler girl in Kaunas. Maybe explains why she was so happy!
I understand, but I simply won't go there. I refuse to think negatively about my fellow man until he/she proves otherwise. Of course unless Green Bay is involved...
