  1. Try a different site... This one has worked great for me in the past... customink.com

  3. I'd like to help, but I have to admit I just don't like the color. Orange makes me look like a pumpkin... I need dark colors to hide my girth! Also, if you need the Alshon image corrected, PM me and I can photoshop it up if you send me the image. Or you could just post the image on this site and I'll copy it and work on it from there.
  4. Some interesting thoughts...except the idea that Cutler would ever accept being a back-up. Not a chance. If we forced his hand and tagged him, he would...but that would be the only way. 1. Love what I've seen from Josh. But, only 2 games of material isn't enough yet. Even if he isn't all that, he still is enough to be a 100% legit back-up that contributes as a quasi-coach. 2. If we see more of McCown due to Cutler's injury, and he continues to look great, then the club may have a tough decision. McCown would be a bargain compared to Cutler. As much as I loved seeing what McCown did, I don't see the team moving away from Cutler for McCown. I just want Josh as a back-up. It's good to know we have someone of quality to hold down the fort. And as you mentioned, maybe the staff might not be afraid to bench Jay for the remainder of a game if he throws up a stinker.
  5. Agreed. I think give the guy a chance at this point...
  6. I was at a Mexican resaurant with my folks, and we saw it on the TV in the lounge on the way out. We all cried a bit on the way home... AR
  7. I hadn't thought about that... Interesting. My thought is give it to Bostic. let him see if he can rise above...
  8. I'm really just throwing this out there to play Devil's Advocate... But I had a chat w/ a freind who's a Bears fans and he thought it might be possible that Briggs is a horrific play caller. His playe is obviously excellent...but maybe, just maybe...he's not remotely a defensive leader. Could our struggles be a result of him putting guys in bad positions, unlike Url, who put them in good positions, etc. I'm not sure GB and DET are the games to test that odd concept. But I think the Ravens could be a test... I really don't think there's much vaidity to it, but just thought I'd throw it on the wall and see if it sticks...

  10. Seems like solid logical guesswork. What about SS or FS? Or do they not go into the 4th-7th rounds?

  12. I think it's Jay just trying to tough it out. I'd be beyond thrilled if he were back in the 4 weeks!
  13. Thanks for sharing that link... Baptism by fire!
  14. Really, isn't anything the team does qualify as "betting the franchise". Any significant move or non-move can be boon or bust or breakeven... quote name='bear trap' date='Oct 22 2013, 10:42 AM' post='126698'] Further... why would going in a different direction be betting the franchise??? Cutler has a history of injuries now... broken finger, knee, groin, and concussion... if we decided to go in a different direction i would not consider it betting the franchise cutler does a lot of good things but he also does a lot of bad things... he sure as hell wasn't worth the price we paid as far as I'm concerned... if we did move on what's the drop off??? One more int a game... highly doubt it... this yr he's done decent but then again we haven't played a really good team yet other than cincy...
  15. I'm right there with you! I owned the Chicago Vice one as well!
  16. Be weary of fools gold. Bacvk-ups sometimes do very well at the spur of the moment. They are at ease and the D didn't expect it. Let's see what happens in GB. That will be very telling. But, I don't think you're horribly offbase. It might by the case. So much depends on what happens over the remainder of the season. If McCown does well, Jay might not be a Bear... Not that McCaown would be the guy, but that the logic would say a good QB could be more affordable and produce similar results. Barring the Cincy game, Cutty's yet to beat anyone of any calibur. NO was the test and we failed. And a week 1 win can be very misleading... It'll be interesting for sure. At this point, I think Cutty is the way to go...but there's a lot to be seen still...
  17. Blown assignments, blown tackles, blown wins... Pressure from a healthy Melton a year younger Peppy, a savvy Url, a healthy Briggs, and an opportunistic Peanut & Jennings masked the problems at the safeties. What a difference a year makes! And there's no doubt that Smith and Marinelli were better D coaches that Tucker and his group. But I agree...it's disappointing to see so many dumb errors on the D side of the ball. Don't these guys have any pride in what they do? Mental with blown assignments and physical with poor tackling. We need Steve McMichael to come in and throw a chair into the chalkboard!
