  1. I can't recall. All I know is I liked it when it was over the weekend. I could grill and make a day of it vs. rushing home through commuter traffic to swill a beer before it's over...
  2. I think it does... But I'm not 100%. I saw on the tv schedule that it goes from 5-8:30 pacific time. For 32 picks at 10 minutes per pick, that's 320 minutes.. 5.3 hours... So I wonder if it will be shortened somehow... http://www.nfl.com/draft/2011
  3. ripple, Just becasue Buffalo flubbed the pick doesn't mean we would have.. (At least in theory...) We could have got Kiwanuka, Mangold (as you mentioned), Justice or Latui for instance... That's a 16 position drop...I don't like it. It takes us out of some serious candidates. And when you're picking that low in the 1st...we're not talking about the same financial beating you'd take picking in the top ten. So, the financial sense of it really doesn't hold that much weight. If we traded out of the top ten and got postion 26 and another later...now that's good financial sense... http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?season=2006
  4. I really have to agree. To me, it just appears he's chickensh&t of picking wrong. So, best get a ton of low guys using the shotgun theory that one will pan out... I'll hold judgement until we actually see what transpires. But, I am fearful of historical shenanigans of being scared of picking in the first round. I won't mind a drop down to like 1st in the 2nd, or similar...as there isn't too much difference and we could get another decent pick. But, a significant drop down would irritate the piss out of me. At least at the moment.
  5. Interesting questions...I hope defiantgiant can answer. (It does appear he has an inside track to leaglese...) The only legal thing I know is that "LA Law" was a TV show in the 80's...
  6. Wooten will go down in history! The Chicago Bear that finally broke Favre! (Yeah, but not sure about cornerstone....)

  8. Seems about right. I looked on direct tv, and it scheduled to go through 8:30 pacific time.
  9. Different... He can on board as a linebacker. I don't recall any intention of him playing safety in the pros. ...and it was also under the Jauron/Hatley regime I think. I think the arguement is more flip flopping while in the NFL...not having a natural college position and then changing it upon entrace to the NFL. I do tend to agree with you on Williams. He needs to stay at T. If he can't handle it, he needs to be bounced.
  10. Wow... Are they that depserate to try to prove they didn't botch the Williams pick?
  11. Interesting.... You seem to have a lot of knowledge about these legal matters. Are you in that arena professionally? Or just following in depth on a personal level?
  12. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...y-decision.html http://www.suntimes.com/sports/5020696-419...ike-martz-.html I'm not sure how I feel about Martz...but damn I do not want to lose Toub...
  13. Damn...yeah, I second that.
  14. I pretty much agree with your assessment.
  15. I'm honestly not sure what this means other than more litigation and legal BS.... I heard one preosn argue that each owner should sell his respective team to the NFL for a $1, then all become equal owners in the NFL. Then all income would be split evenly and would be one entity officially. Adn expansion would handled almost like a stock split,etc... Sounds like a pipe dream, but kind of interesting to ponder...
  16. I'll be trying to hit up the board... It'll depend where I watch it...
  17. Gotcha! I appreciate that! (Although I have been known to be a huge blowhard on occassion myself!) Honestly, there's too much that can happen given where we are drafting, that I'm just not putting a lot of energy into the possibilities. (Not to mention I'm just not that on top of this years' draft prospects.) I just hope we address either line with a starter off our first pick. Then grab some more OL to increase the talent pool. The rest is pretty much gravy.
  18. That really seems to work great...
  19. Can we oust him regardless?
  20. I'm not vested in this past years' college players. I know virtually nothing. So, I'm kind of deferring to all the folks here to scout for me! And it does sounds like Sherrod would work. The only time I really felt knowedgable was when I was clamoring for Derrick Johnson, Rashard Mendenhall and James Laurinaitis! Tells you how limited my college knowedge is. No rhyme intended...
  21. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writ...in&hpt=Sbin I think I'd be happy with that pick all else being equal...
  22. My bad! Thanks for clarifying! Then I'd say CHI over ATL. Giving us 10-6....
  23. I'm know... But, when it comes to supporting one of our guys unjustly getting villified, I throw that knowledge out the door!
