  1. Hey as a Cub fan I’m used to hoping 😁
  2. I’m going to be fascinated by what the new GM does in the draft
  3. Slightly off topic but watching game and wondering how long before Joe Buck performs verbal fellatio on Jordan Love? As for Rogers the NFL should apply the same measure of punishment as anyone else; no favors for him
  4. Good morning. I’m not capable of sharing anything new but my own perspective. We’ve had two games back to back against the elite teams of the league. While we were missing some vital players yesterday I don’t think the presence of Quinn and Hicks would have significantly altered the results. So the baseline has been established and looking at it I find our team lacking significantly. Since Ryan Pace arrived the Bears have been 39-48. Can anyone tell me that they feel the foundation of this team has been established(O and D lines)? I submit that this team has been average to mediocre since his arrival and there has been no ascension- I think 2018 was an outlier. Without a solid foundation a team cannot be agile enough to adapt to changes in the league. Plain and simple, the current leadership has not closed the gap. Incremental gains , maybe, but you got to do better than that to keep your job UNLESS the McCaskey family’s target has been to be mediocre all along. Our o line has gotten worse, drafting two tackles this year doesn’t excuse the sins of the past. Maybe the d line has some worthwhile foundation to it, but the linchpin can’t stay healthy for the last two seasons. I look at this leadership’s performance and it leaves me frustrated going into games like Tampa Bay where I knew what we were up against and still I was angered at the results. I keep expecting something from Nagy and all I get is blah.
  5. Honestly, after witnessing this one, I don’t know that there’s any reason to want to watch another game this season. The gap between this team and the elite is too great and the leadership , from McCaskey through Nagy has simply treaded water for four years. Fields isn’t going to learn shit from Nagy, this defense has gaping holes. Sorry just really frustrated and I’m tired of devoting Sunday after Sunday rooting for this team only to have the McCaskeys try to feed me shit sandwiches.
  6. I think this is a key. I don’t mind another offensive minded HC, however I would like one who’s called players longer than a half season like Nagy.
  7. Lol, Eddie is indeed the issue. I think Nagy’s short life as a play caller for Reid should have been a pause for Pace, not to mention I thought that last season in KC found Reid taking back the reins from Nagy. Lazor is better, he seems to have a better feel for the cadence involved in play calling. Nagy’s pace and cadence is horrible. I suspect Lazor is average but maybe we never know because he is calling Nagy’s offense. So multiple players through the system, a number regress, a suspect playbook, and an inability to pace the calls should doom Nagy
  8. So I’m perusing multiple media site; the growing sentiment is that this season is strictly about Fields’ development. Article upon article mainly focusing on his week to week growth. I’m starting to feel like the narrative is that a losing season is acceptable as long as Justin develops. I’m not sure this sits well with me. Pace and Nagy should be held for the collective performance.Nagy on delivery of yet another lower third offense, not acceptable if you are hired with a background on that side of the ball. Pace for continuing to ignore the trenches, which is the foundation for winning programs. I fear George is going to buy this storyline and just chalk the season up to development.
  9. It feels so Bears’ like; we finally have a QB that might just be the answer and he gets the sloth whisperer as a head coach
  10. With you here, so exhausting to watch as much as I love my Bears. We flash here and there but never anything consistent. Lazor is incrementally better than Nagy as a play caller but that third down call where Fields gets sacked and all you need is SOME yards to try the field goal, Justin had no options there, the routes were still being developed and he was running for his life. A seasoned guy probably throws it away; but the play design was weak. Fields will never develop to his potential under this staff.
  11. Thank you all I truly appreciate it.
  12. I’ve not found any updates on our two rookie tackles; I thought Borom was eligible to return after the Detroit game. Anyone have an update? Thanks in advance!
  13. I think the fact that Nagy has had to relinquish play calling duties twice now should qualify for his termination. His ego is damaging to the team. The team produces better under Lazor. What leader would sacrifice his team’s well being to satisfy his own ego? This behavior alone should be the reason he’s let go. As for Pace, he let Nagy have a second bite at the play calling apple. The decision failed so that too should be a black ledger mark against him (Pace) in his job evaluation
  14. So there was a Joniak interview of Pace today and while I don’t expect much in these cases he did say Nagy has a “humble mindset”🤮🤮if he did he would realize he needs Lazor to call the plays.
  15. So based on Brad Biggs’ article in the Trib today, the Cleveland game was essentially Field’s fault, because he’s a rookie. The media coverage for Nagy is astounding. I know I read the article with bias but it sure sounds like the spin is that there really wasn’t a play calling or scheme issue, just the line blocking poorly and a rookie QB. Gutless is what I’d paint it as, throwing the kid under the bus when the coach is simply shit

    Rookie QBs

I know there’s been countless articles written on the pros and cons of starting rookie quarterbacks. All I can offer is you really got to have a solid team around them I think; especially at the o line. If they’re running for their lives and getting sacked left and right, it won’t matter how good the receivers are.
  17. Ninth worst offensive performance I thought I saw somewhere. There is no up from here. George McCaskey is getting exactly what he deserves, I hope he’s roasted all week too.
  18. I’d love to see him go today; I don’t think it’s an overreaction as this year doesn’t stand alone; it’s an extension of his poor offense from season’s past. I don’t think though that the McCaskeys would make such a bold move. I think George would be willing to sacrifice another season; there’s no incentive to him- it’s not painful enough for the family to make larger changes
  19. Okay, it’s only been three games, but what do you think McCaskey is looking for in evaluating this team? Into year 4 I’d say there should have been a significant identity established on offense. From a personnel standpoint and this I have no insight at all as I’m not present at the Halas Hall offices, is George expecting greater agility in responding to roster results? I’m trying hard not to throw in the towel but I’m also keenly aware that the early results are not in Nagy/Pace’s favor.
  20. Ok guys; paint me stupid- I don’t think Cleveland is a world beater, so either we are a complete offensive side of the roster away from being competent or a whole new staff, or really somewhere in between? Sometimes this offense reminds me of fonzi’s offense in waterboy. Just frustrated. At this point I’d just as soon start our back up offensive lineman. Keep Fields and Montgomery and pitch the rest of the offensive players. I know I’m spraying to all fields here but I’m tired of watching a damn pitiful offensive line, where the best we get are short passes that are so predictable. Sorry to rant.
