  1. SO glad today is the last day of employment of Dowell Loggans as a Bears employee. Good riddance Sir!
  2. Overtime in a game that should never have happened. Loggains you suck
  3. No need to apologize, I appreciate you organizing the whole thing.
  4. I will give it a shot, just sent you an email
  5. Thank you thank you thank you, I actually started to freak out. I thought the site was kaput. It wouldn't have been the same without this unique group of posters. I looked to other sites, sh*t, they were lame.
  6. late wishes here but hope all enjoyed whatever you did!
  7. No worries, each his own. I just can't wait for the next Lynn Dickey era to begin.
  8. I have always despised the Packers, but when Favre was there I'd still hate but respect him. Now with Erin at QB, there is nothing to respect. Their coach is an ass wipe who I believe actually believes that his challenges are not so much a challenge of the call but a God given right for the call to be reversed. Erin looks for a PI on every throw, completion or not; all the while his line holds on every play- the guy is a f**king prima donna. Clay Matthews is a complete egotistical douche. I cannot wait for this team to go back to the teams of the mid 70's-mid 80's nothing but backwater assholes.
  9. Shea is and never will be stout enough at the point of contact. Tired of watching him get ran over. I miss linebackers that drive through ball carriers. Robbie is a disappointment for the second week in a row. But in the end this team was destined to be pretenders. The defense composition was not ideal for the 3-4 with real playmakers and Fangio got more out of them to disguise the talent void. All in all, I'm encouraged even with this record with the new staff and GM. I trust they will evaluate players well this coming offseason and if they don't hold muster they are gone and I'm cool with that.
  10. I'd second the coaching comment as I cannot say that either of the previous two coaching regimes would have made the adjustments coming out of the opening drive. Maybe it was just tightening things up but nevertheless I don't think this team bounces back in prior years.
  11. I'm liking Gase's play calling today
  12. Guppy got a goon squad down there?
  13. If the season at this point is about player evaluation; the book on Mariani should be written, let's move on.
  14. 7 plays 80 yards 3:00 minutes, like slicing through butter; not a good start.
  15. With you on this one brother. Joe was the thorn in my football hopes back in the day.
  16. Watched the game at a party so couldn't hear the announcers but the on the kneel down at the end of game; way to stay classy Seattle. I don't much care for the Pats but glad to see the Seahawks lose. The lack of composure the Hawks showed on the kneel down was pathetic.
  17. I'm not a Joe D fan but I thought I had heard a number of reports throughout that with the way Emery was playing with the bottom of the roster, roster spots normally reserved for ST players were not. Had to make the job harder. I don't think Pace will take the same approach. I don't think Emery took the 3rd phase seriously.
  18. Ernie was wrapping it up when I first became aware of baseball, so I only caught the tail end of what was an incredible career. But as said earlier he was a true ambassador and great person of the field. As time goes by and more and more great ones leave us I am deeply saddened. Rest in peace Ernie, your infectious smile and positive personality will be missed.
  19. Well played. My earliest recollections go back to the days of Big Abe, bless his portly soul! I'm with you, for all the hot young guns out there, when someone like Fox becomes available, you have to look. The young gun the Bears hire could be just another in that long, sad line you shared.
  20. With all due respect to everyone else; claiming Cutler's place in Bears' QB lore isn't much to hold the beacon of exceptional QB play against. He may end up holding all of the records, which is a reflection of just how piss poor the play has been from this franchise. The problem is that Jay always morphs into bad Jay, whether its forcing the ball into triple coverage, or holding the ball too long, or the classic "I need to carry the game here at the end, oops, I just threw another interception to a D-lineman"
