Comment (0) Tue, 07 Jul 2009 20:34:43 -0700 Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports Chicago Bears QBs coach Pep Hamilton said he wouldn't be surprised to see the team try to utilize QB Jay Cutler's strong arm and WR Devin Hester's game-breaking speed together this season by trying to get Hester behind the secondary on deep routes. I know it's slow news this time of year.. but that has got to be the dumbest thing I've heard... Isn't that the reason they traded for him.. good lord...

Are we actually going into camp without a competition or contravery at the QB position..???? Almost makes me feel like I left the Bears for some other team...kinda dirty like... LOL!

I was thinking the same thing.. guess I'd take a dum cheerleader over a smart one. LOL!

Maybe they'll replace him with Charles Barkley..

I remember.. but I also remember of whole lot of passes thrown at the receivers ankles.. Maybe that's were Cutler is better..at actually giving the WR a chance to catch it...

They always say a good QB can make a average WR look like a pro bowler... If we still stink next year it just comes down to someone hating this franchise..

You could breed them together (fill in who you want to be the girl here) and get a QB that is good at the deep ball as well as the short routes.. Season is about over and is pretty obvious that Orton is another Shane Mathews..

I think the problem is we need Hester to get a leg injury... That would slow him down enough for Orton to connect with him. It's obvious that he can not throw the deep ball, so getting any WR with speed without upgrading the talent at QB is gonna be a wash.

Well of our 12 posessions, 8 were 4 plays or less..

Good to hear he was effective as a receiver and Jones got some carries. Really surprised at Orton's numbers, but then again it was Detroit. But at least teams might be a little more concerned about our passing game. Looks like Olsen stepped up.

Didn't Detroit have the worst run defense, and we couldn't get 100 yards on them? I didn't get to see the game, so I'm shocked Forte only had 35 yards..
