I believe Jones could have a very good year as our # 2 guy. He is now fully recovered from his injury and now we have to hope that our coaching staff actually uses him. We can't just let him sit on the bench like we basically did last year. Give Forte his 15-20 carries and then give Jones between 8-10 with the rest going to Wolfe/AP and have AP basically our #1 SP player like we all know he can be. This is also hoping that our Oline can provide some protection for Orton. If they can give some protection it will open up the running game and allow us to run the ball 30+ times and that should breed success. We can't have Forte do everything again this year otherwise he won't be here for 10+ years like we want.

I am sorry but Holt has lost a few steps. I would love to sign him but I would rather him being our #2 or even the slot guy.

That line would make me real scared. Omiyale hasn't proven anything and neither has Buenning. Between the 2 of them they have 1 career start. If you Omiyale starting I want Beekman on the other side of Kruetz.

That would not be good. I think I would be sick to my stomach if that were to happen. We need to draft an OT in the 1st or the 2nd round at least. Preferably in the 1st with a WR in the 2nd round.

I was listening to Sportscenter and Michael Smith was saying he would be best fit for a team that just needs a pass rushing DE and not an every down player. Isn't this exactly what we need.

That would have given me nightmares if you add those to Minny already having a deep threat in BB and a home run threat in AP.

The reason I kinda question things is because we have seen to many QB's in the league that get killed because the Oline is bad. I keep thinking back to David Carr. I bet that he may have been able to develop into a nice QB in this league if he wasn't getting cold cocked everytime he a thought cross his mind his first couple of years in the league. It would be a waste of money if he isn't a good upgrade over Orton. Do you have happen to know what Cutler contract is like.

And this is of course hoping that we are looking at Oline in the 1st couple of rounds. Does any one question weather or not Cutler would work with our WR corps. Don't get me wrong. I would welcome the idea about bringing in a Franchise QB as we have never had a franchise type QB in my entire life. And i am not exactly that young. No I am not considering McMahon as a Franchise QB.

I have always loved Dawkins. It would have been a real dream to have him and a healthy Mike Brown. Could ya'll just imagine those 2 teaming together. lol

I like Herman Johnson and think he can develop pretty well but I would also puke to him that high. I would think about taking him in the 4/5 round range.

I completely agree with you again. I don't like giving Forte much more than 20 carries. If we can do this it can keep all of our RB's fresh for the long stretch and hopefully even the playoffs.

I completely agree. Having Maclin and Hester would definetely open things up for Olsen, Clark and Forte. But lets not forget that it doesn't matter how much speed your WR have if your Oline can't give your QB time to get them the ball.

I have always liked Cutler but I am just not sure if I would give up a 1st for him because he needs at least a decent Oline to help protect him since we don't have a Brandon Marshall type player. I bet if we got him and gave up our 1st everyone would start screaming midway through the season because our oline can't give him enough time to go through his progressions.

Hey AZ I also like Payne as I think he is starting develop pretty nicely. If you were the GM who would you go out and try to sign. I don't like starting the year with Payne and a rookie Safety. That would scare me. Even if it were the best FS in the draft.

I would have absolutely love to get Wilson. I just don't see us being big players in FA. It makes me sick but that is JA for ya. I have been a fan of his but he just doesn't go out and get big name FA's for the most part.

Just ask yourselves one question. Is getting Sharper an upgrade to what we have? Yeah I think so.

I would take either DHB or Maclin. I don't think we can go wrong with either guy.

I no way do I trade the 1st round pick. We need Oline help or a pass rushing DE with that first pick. If we trade out of the 1st I will be extremely disappointed.

I agree but what I am saying is that I don't think we should just overlook them. If it comes out that they want big money then forget it. I am just saying I think we should just send out a feeler to see what they might be looking for. I am not saying sign them until we get our other "glaring holes filled" i.e WR Oline and pass rushing DE and of course safety.

I like Derrick Brooks and Cato June. I would be interested to see what they might cost.

I heard today that Marvin has asked for his release from the Colts.

I keep looking back at walterfootball and theny have been keeping with Pass Rushing DE for us but they have been going back and forth between Larry English and Michael Johnson.
