Thanks Madman. That is a really bad visual Virginia McCaskey nude. Thank god I already ate.

Biggest suprize of 2009?
Yeah I couldn't go Hester because I think all of us just assume that he will have a good year.

Biggest suprize of 2009?
How about a real sleeper/dark horse. Johnny Knox he has the physical tools with great hands and great speed who could contribute. I don't think he will this year but I wouldn't be shocked.

From Orton to Cutler, transitioning from Mediocrity
Yes the numbers that I threw out there were just conservative. And yes looking at those numbers with him being in the NFC that would be pro bowl type numbers. This coming year though I expect the NFC QB's to be better as a whole. I believe that Brees will continue to put his numbers and Warner will continue to put up good numbers but I don't expect anything like last year. I believe we will see a return of McNabb and I think that Rodgers is going to have a better year than last. Wild Cards for me are Romo because I think he is over rated and I am not sure what to think of Eli.

Looking good on the LB Front
Thats great news. Hopefully JA is able to work out a fair contract for him. He would immediately upgrade the LB corps even more. I love Hillenmeyer but he was just to small and when he was isolated he got ran over quite a bit. I still think Hillenmeyer can play for us but I wonder who will be on the outside looking in if we do indeed sign Pisa.

From Orton to Cutler, transitioning from Mediocrity
I will say that I believe that Cutler will have more success than Orton in '08, however with that being said I don't expect Cutler to come in and put pro bowl type numbers right away. I expect between 3500-4000 yards passing with 20+ td's and around 10-15 ints. Even with these numbers down from his 4500 yards passing last year he will be a success. Mushin Mohommad comments will be tested. He was quoted as saying "Chicago is where WR's go to die" I believe that was the comment. I would like to see at least 1 WR with 1000 yards receiving.

Biggest suprize of 2009?
I agree with you on Bennett. Another one for me is Jarron Gilbert. I think he is going to come in and have a Mark Anderson type rookie season. Look for alot of batted balls but I think we will see him jump between DE and DT. Combine his physical and athletic ability with the ability that Marinelli has to teach and I think he could have a great rookie season.

Some other notes from OTAs
LOL I think you meant to say that Olsen starts at the Hybrid TE position.

OTA Highlights
wow, I think Hester looked very good out there

Some other notes from OTAs
I tend to agree with you about Clark. He continues to put up good numbers every year. He may be the starting TE but Olsen is our Featured go to guy. Clark did pretty well last year considering how much Olsen did and how bad our offense was.

Poor Rex
Wow, that is real shocker to me. I am surprised that no teams are interested in him as a backup at least. I understand not as a starter but geez.

Lions: Kevin Smith predicting playoffs
If they win 1 game they can at least say that they improved 100% from the previous year lol.

Are we kicking he tires?
Great point. I will agree that we could use a veteran but I would not be opposed to going into camp with what we have now, mainly because our QB and Oline situation is better than it was last year. Plus our QB loves to throw while on the run, and he has proven to be very dangerous while throwing on the run.

Favre released by Jets
I am loving this. I hope he does come back because you know the Packers and our D would love a chance to put him into permanent retirement. There are some rumors out there they say the reason Favre is thinking about Minny is because he wants revenge against the Pack. lol. Also considering the fact that Favre sucks in dome games. I can't find out what the stats are unless I had a lot of time to go through all the stats.

Could be an interesting Offense in 2009
Your right. The pre season I think could be a big factor as to determine who the #1 guy will be. I think we all agree that Hester isn't a #1 WR but then again we don't have a #1 WR on this team although I think Knox/Iggy has the potential to develop into a #1. I think Hester could be a great #2/#3 if he can learn to catch better. I am not so hard on him about his route running because that he steadily improved because it seems like he is trying really hard to be that #1 WR.

Some New Numbers on the Field

What About Us?
That sounds like a great idea.

NFC North drafts
Most experts agree that there was 2 reasons that the Pack did so bad last year. There D and there special teams kick and punt coverage. Well thats what they called in unfortunately for the Packers they had no coverage at all on Special Teams. I know of at least 1 game against the Panthers where the coverage team just got ran over. The panthers would score and then Packers offense went right back to and got the lead again all to watch the coverage team piss it away.

251 Derek Kinder WR
If nothing else I believe JA and Company just served a HUGE notice to Davis. He will be forced to get his crap together otherwise he will be looking for a new job. At least Iggy and Knox will make this team and Kinder could if he can regain his pre-injury form and plays very well in camp.

2010 Mock Draft
I wouldn't touch Tim Teabow. Great athlete but its the system that makes him so good. Besides he won't be a QB in the NFL. He may be a WR. I just don't care for him that much. I don't really like much coming out of Florida because of the system is great for College but horrible for the NFL.

#140 - Johnny Knox, WR
I completely agree. In the first year I want him to just be able to get on the field for a handful of plays per game. This is 1 kid I have really high hopes for.
- What safeties...
-
we need a FS
Personally I think we need to go Iglesias with the 1st pick in the 3rd and then go Rashad Johnson with the last pick in the 3rd if he is still available. I know many consider him to be the best Saftey in the draft.

The Podium

Bears Expo 2009 - Sunday May 17th
The wife and I went 3 years ago I think, back when it was the Bears Fan Convention and it was 3 days long held at the Hilton Hotel, and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. I just can't wait especially considering that we get to take a tour of the hollowed grounds.
