That is exactly what I was trying to say. Thank you for posting that. I agree that the talent pool is deep but no clear winner that I think will be great. Most players coming in this year will need coaching to possibly become great players. I believe that the talent is especially deep at WR and Oline. One WR that I wouldn't mind getting is Percy Harvey from Florida projected to go in the 1st to 2nd round. Another guy that I kinda like is Marko Mitchell from Nevada. He is projected to run a 4.45 and to go in the 5th round. There is also another guy that is 6'6" but his 40 is horribly slow at 4.55(Ramses Barden) Here is his write up. My question is why did he only play 8 games last year. http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2009WR.php

Heck I don't even care to much about the QB that is projected to go #1 to Detroit for crying out loud. If that tells you anything.
-
I wouldn't mind that either as that would give us 3 2nd's and because I don't see a "stud" that we MUST have at 18. There are several players that we would love to get but none that just make me wet myself over lol.
-
I would love to see him in a Bears Uniform, if for the right price. I would give up a 2nd and maybe even another conditional pick depending on how he performs. I also don't see this happening though as I don't see us making a big splash in FA. A couple of guys here and there maybe but no significant signing like a Gross or Boldin or Peppers or who ever else we have been discussing for a while now.

I agree that in the 1st round we need either WR or OLine.

My best friend is a Raiders fan and he believes that they won't be good until Davis either dies or sells the team. He says that the game has passed him by. I am just wondering how much Asomgha(sp?) is going to cost since he is "light years" better than Hall and he got 7 yrs for $70 mill.
-
No Hall is not worth that kind of money. Asomugha is worth that.
-
Good for Hall, he gets big contract but there is no way in Hell that he is worth that kind of contract.
-
My bestfriend is a huge Raiders fan and loves this guy. I have seen enough games to know that he is a shut down corner because he doesn't all the WR that he is defending do much at all. He doesn't get all the picks like you guys would want.
-
Or even Alphonso Smith from Wake Forest. He is undersized at 5'8" but had 13 passes broken up and 6 picks this past year. Could be a great pick. This picks I am thinking of in the 2nd to 3rd round if they slip. Not with the 18th pick overall.

I would like to see us go after Victor Harris, CB from VT. He is big for a corner and they say he will work best in the Tampa 2. His main weakness is speed. http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2009CB.php

lol, I will attempt to

I am closing in on 30. lol

No kidding, I liked Sinatra and this is coming from a person who is so young that Sinatra retired almost 10 years before I was born lol.
-
If you have Sinatra going on you must be older than pix. lmao. I might here about this comment tomorrow. I guarantee it.
-
How much would we save by giving him the pink slip I guess is a question. I would love to get a Malcolm Jenkins but he will be gone.
-
Great post, that was funny.
-
You know my aw to well Pix, what can I say.
-
You haven't but yet several people have said that they want him here because they think he would be great for us.
-
What I am afraid is that JA/LS will do nothing to address the Oline in the draft. We need younger guys and would prefer to get one in the draft and let him sit behind Gross and learn. Yes I would love to see Gross sign with us but don't see it happening.
-
I agree with pix here. I first read the article and liked what I read to begin with. Honestly I have no problem taking a late flyer on him if we don't have any other needs. The problem that I am having is that it does appear that he will need some work in order to succeed in the NFL and I don't think our coaching staff would be the best fit for him. I do like the fact of having a big guy that is great in run blocking.
-
either way I don't see him comign to town.
-
Boldin is probably gone and so what if James leaves. But Warner? Forget it, he isn't going anywhere at all. They still don't know what they have in Leinhart. They would be retarded to let him go. Warner is only good if the Oline can protect him and give him time to throw, so forget about him coming to Chicago and lighting things up. He would return to his old ways of turning the ball over all the time if he came over.

I see exactly where you are coming from. I can't say that I completely agree but I do at least understand. The fact that we are starting to see more and more teams converting to a 3-4 defense and our coaches have shown to this point the inability to make changes during a game specifically come back from half time. Now some of the teams that are moving to a 3-4 suck. 49ers and Lions. The Lions haven't been competitive for years and are probably at least 3-4 years away still. The 49ers are getting better but I am not sure they have the personnel to run it yet. Just like the Puckers don't have the personnel to run it yet either. I think that a FA QB who loves to throw down field could actually entice one to come over because of Hester. He as shown the ability to get past any defender and provided the QB could hit him with some accuracy that could open the holes even more for Forte. Now I do agree that our Oline has to play better. They played extremely well this past season considering what we all thought. They still weren't all that good but alot better than what we anticipated. Williams is young and hopefully good and Beekman is showing the ability to play as well. Maybe the coaches were right to bench him for his entire rookie year were right so he could learn. However Tait, and Kruetz and St. Clair kinda bother me. I know this is a lot of rambling but hopefully I didn't confuse anyone.
