Assuming we only carry 8 like has been mentioned I'm thinking Webb will be cut. Dude is still playing in the 4th qtr of the 4th preseason game. That's typically not good. If my thinking is correct that would mean scott makes teams and that Webb basically got beat by someone who couldn't even practice for much this whole time. Which leads me to think coaching staff compared Scott of last yr to what Webb has shown this yr. If all this is true then that's gotta kill that ego/confidence that Webb had. Really sad cuz I think it has more to do with not fully committing himself

Pure guess as Edwards is not very good. And if palmer has any of his brother in him then I think he can be a competent #3. Which is all we are looking for. Gotta say fendi has no business on this team. Another drop which is #4 on preseason. Plus 2 more penalties today. What a shame considering the measurables

Can we please stop with jmills nation. I can't stand it when an oline man signals himself out like webb does all the frickin time. It tells me they are more about themselves and an oline has got to play together. As far as the 8 of 9 stat its called spinning a stat to make it sound good to general public who don't pay attention to everything. Give me a little time and I guarantee I can spin almost anything to make someone sound good. And of course as I'm typing this another penalty on Webb. Its not that we hate PFF stats. They do great work. But to relay on solely there word as the word of god is being foolish. Whats also being over looked in the whole comparison is Webb's replacement has held his own even inthose times he's been on an island. Webb has looked really bad this preseason which is why he's lost his job and is fighting just for a roster spot at this time. I've said plenty of times I hope he becomes great but I simply don't see even the will to be good.

Yeah excellent point. Even the national ppl out there no longer talk about how bad it is. Like yrs ago when Hester was the #1. What emery has done is great. 1 thing national guys talk about now is our size. All our WRs and TEs are huge targets. It really starts with BM but all the way down the roster to onobun. Thus helping out the red zone targets tremendously

If u think the banter on here is bad it's a damn good thing you weren't in the fantasy league with stinger and myself the past couple yrs. Especially last yr. Lol. I couldn't disagree more. If it was such a train wreck I wouldn't bother coming here. I would just go somewhere else. I love this place. And still am glad pixote turned me onto here. Considering that mccown isn't playing this week I think its safe to say that he's gonna be backup regardless of what happens Thursday. Whoever wins the job will be #3. We may not like it but that's just the way it is. I've heard the staff really likes what mccown brings to the table. And honestly speaking I have no confidence in anyone of the 3 or anyone else that's available if cutler goes down for extended time. Let's just pray we never even get to the point of the #2 unless its in mop up duty

I like what I saw from Blanchard. Obviously don't think he will ever be a starter. If we keep 3 I'm guessing palmer. None of us may like mccown as the #2 but he will be that guy.

I'm not worried about bennett. We know he's gonna get plenty of balls thrown his way. He's clearly best TE on roster. I just hope he eliminates some of the drops we saw in game 3. I did love his blocking ability. Especially down field blocking

Just a guess here but shouldn't an oline be together. No one sticking out trying to gather attention for themselves. Maybe this is why Webb has sucked. Dude was a loner. Always trying to get attention for himself calling his fans jwebb nation. What other oline guy does this. Yeah I would love to see forte carry that 9+ ypc into regular season. This offense would be sick Lol. I obviously listened to game last night and the raiders announcers said cutler threw off back foot on 1 play last night. But even that's true your point is still right on. In the past when he has 21 attempts we would typically see 3 or 4 times of him doing that. And I can't recall any throws like that of 1st 2 games so either way its a major improvement. He seems more comfortable stepping up into pocket since long and mills took over. Coincidence? Maybe but I love what I see so far. When I get home tonight I'll watch game. I heard Webb looked bad again but I wanna see it before I go saying anything. Wouldn't want jwebbnation hunting me down Lol
