Take into consideration that he arrived as a walk on OT and Tomey saw the athleticism and switched him to DT/DE. So there was a learning curve involved.

Cause they are looking for a blocking TE. Davis cost us some goalline situations with poor blocking. Even though they he played OG in college, he played TE in high school and was converted in college. The reports are that they will convert Louis back to TE.

I was wrong on the time. It was a 4.75. Still not bad for that big a guy. Maybe he can lose 20 lbs and play TE/FB at 280. Remember, Turner uses the TE as an H back sometimes and moves him around and into the backfield as a lead blocker. Olsen sucks at it but this guy could be huge(no pun intended).

Yeah, I think the starters will be Earl and Bullocks, with the backups being Payne and Alfalfa(sp). I think Steltz needs to beat out Alfalfa. The good thing is that there will be alot of compitition at some of the back up spots. Louis vs Davis at 3rd TE. I think Gilbert vs Dusty. The trio of WR vs Davis, Rideau, etc. Melton vs Baldwin. Freeman vs Hilly, Roach, and Williams. Good stuff to look at during training camp.

I think we might part ways with Steltz. I have a feeling Earl outperforms him in camp. Although everyone talks a big game about wanting "football players" over athletes, I dont know if Steltz has the tools to play here. Also drafting Moore puts Vasher on Red Alert IMO.

Biggs said that we would be looked at for Tommy;s spot. Could be we are trying to light a fire under Tommy. If he returns to form then I think that this kids versatility will allow him to move to Wale's DE spot. And I'm sorry but we haven't had a freak like this on the DL since Spellman.
