Take my words as a grain of salt from this point on. I am not watching another Bears game unless it is prime time. I swore to myself I would not let myself watch another Jay Cutler let Bears game, plus I am on my 3rd GM I hate in a row. I will root them on from a far, but as a hard core Bears fan I am done. I am moving to casual As a part of the Bearstalk community I will be active.

Hmm.. if Williams fell, Titans really wanted Williams, and now can get him from Chicago for Mariota and boot....

It wouldn't have been jitters if they had it planned all along. It's not like it was someone they hadn't planned on drafting, and freaked out and went for it. Edit: Jitters would be taking hundley or another qb now because the lost out on Mariota

Have the question the timing of this coming out. Smoke screen to make it look more likely to draft a DT, and open up a trade down, or make someone trade above the Bears so others fall.

The value Cutler has in that deal is ridiculous, just no way that just Cutler and the #7 gets you the 2.

what I meant to say is I don't want to see the Bears to trade up for Winston, if Mariota is taken. I just believe in mariota, not a give up a ransom to get someone other than Cutler. Yea, Gruden has worked him out in his camps, had him running plays and worked with him. Saw a video on it a week or 2 back.

It's not purely Cutler hate. If Mariota was taken first for some reason, I wouldn't want to see the Bears trade up for him. This is purely on what I think Mariota can be.

Really, it's not new news. Yesterday, Pace said in his presser that the Bears had talked to all of the teams ahead of them, and ones behind them gauging what it would take to move up and what they could get to trade down.

Yea, I think Mariotta will turn out to be a great QB down the road. The Bears won't win when Cutler is on the team, too many holes, but Mariota can be groomed behind him ala Rodgers (another second rated QB) or he can start this year if Cutler is involved in a deal. The OL has question marks at Center and RT. Neither of which is worth a 1st round pick. Defensively, they have soo many damn players they are trying to find the position for in the front 7, they may be fine there. They may not, just no way to tell really. There's not a Safety I want to see drafted at 7, and their is no reason to bring in a WR until you have your QB. If the Mariotta falls to the skins, I'm not as certain that the Titans will get a good enough trade for the #2 over all pick, and I see the Bears have traded the Skins, I will be jumping for joy. If I see it at 2, despite what they give up, I'll be excited still because I think the Bears will have the best QB prospect in my time as a fan.

For me, I want to trade up and get Mariotta. I really don't care after that. Most the other players are just oh ok, they could probably use that guy unless it's a surprise picked early.

The one common thread with Bennett and Marshall, is they both criticized Cutler publicly last year. IF the rumors are true, I agree the saint's do make sense with the extra picks and Pace's connection to the Saints. Capwise, he would probably just fit in with money saved back for rookie signings for them.

I think this would take my disliking Pace to hating him. With that said, what do you think Bennett could draw in trade? A 3rd like Greg Olsen?

that drafts an Guard at 7. Number 7 should be spent on your LT of your future. Guards and RT can be found out of the first round. In a different draft class, yes you consider going O-Line a 7, but not this one.
