Bears trade a 6th round pick for Khari Lee (Texans TE)
'TD' replied to Bears4Ever_34's topic in Bearstalk
If he has shown potential at being a run blocker, then that could be a reason. They could be making the move to running more in general, due to White's injury and a potentially worse than known injury of Jefferey. I think it could show an intention to move Bennett at the end of the year if not sooner. They did express wanting to get younger to Jennings when they cut him. The team likely won't be competing this year, and Bennett has not bit his tongue since he joined the team. Really, it could be a combination of those things or Pace just seeing something he liked in the preseaon. I don't like it, but I'm not going to hang the team over getting rid of a 6th round pick. I just do that when they gain the value of a 6th round pick for a top WR 10-15 WR. -

To be fair, It's more likely to be closer to a 5th round pick then a 7th. -
I disagree, I think their problem with establishing the run game last year was the offensive line. The Bears seemed to have the second most injuries to a the line, next to the Falcons. The Bears have had some questionable starters in Garza and Mills, and their depth isn't deep. If I remember the Bears started somewhere between 7 and 9 different offensive line lineups. The deep threat wasn't the problem. It's the same problem we have had since Forte became a Bear, the offensive line couldn't make a hole.

It will be a hit to lose him. He may be the best player on the Bears Defense or at the very least the most proven. They all knew it was coming, so at least he didn't go commit some new bone headed mistake and from all accounts has been a good Teammate and Bear so far.

I am not sure they will try it. Hub Arkush has been pushing this idea for a while. I think he will just turn out a bust in general. He had an amazing start of his career after peanut got hurt but it has been crap since. If I remember right he was the lowest rated CB on PFF, I don't go by their stats normally, but last says a lot.

I really thought he would be. Part of the reason my hopes are high for the Bears to have a lot of options to draft a good QB this year. I think the whole secondary is pretty bad.

Langford was tearing it up against 2nd and 3rd string defenses of a team defenses of a team with a bad first string D. That's what great players should do. He sold me as the future on that td run.

EXCELLENT!!! My one goal this year was in a fantasy football was to destroy all Lithuanians. Now I will have my chance at that goal.

Marshall is continuing to have a positive impact on the team through training with Jeffery in the off season and playing a major role in his development. When he was on the team, he played hard and played through injury putting up some of the best seasons as a WR the Bears have seen. He didn't hurt the team, the ownership just got butt hurt over stuff they shouldn't have.

I hated seeing them drafting a WR before they had their QB of the future. WR's have a shorter career than QB's and a lot hit their peak and only stay at it for a few years. I would have rather waited, instead of getting a WR that my have 3-4 good years left of high play when the Bears finally get a good QB. Plus, I thought he would be a bust, but I didn't think it would be an injury one. Hopefully he will get better and prove me wrong.

Fuller impressed early with his turn overs last year but really didn't look good later on. I was really hoping to see Tillman back this year. I think Tillman still has a few years and would have been a good mentor, ala Marshall with Alshon, but with better life skills. Jennings ProBowl was playing opposite of Tillman IMHO and I see him as an average number 2 CB below average number one. This will probably be an ugly year against above average QBs. Sucks I couldn't watch the game, I was at the hospital during it.

Your guys opinion, I'll stay out of this one, on what you think is going on. Has Cutler finally got it or is the Defense weak enough in the secondary and linebacker to let him to continue on interception free after 11 days?

I really shouldn't have used the word low ceiling. I think he has over achieved and playing at his limitations. I don't think he has much room to grow. He was a JuCo player that worked hard and made it to WVU and had one outstanding year. The NFL is a lot different then what he faced in college and I think he will struggle with it. He may become a hard working really good number 1 receiver on the Bears, but I don't think he will ever be considered in the top 10 or top 15 WRs. Where as, I feel Amari Cooper has potential to be great. I meant more of a low ceiling compared to the greats in the league.

Any other year it would be a fun challenge that I'd want to take on. This year I'm too negative on the qb, gm, FA signings, and the draft. No one would want to read pure negativity every day. I'm sure an article of why White has a low ceiling wouldn't go over well.

Agreed. I really Like Jay Cutler the guy. I just hate Jay Cutler the QB. He seems like someone I would get along with great, if I was in his tax bracket.

I this k Tillman will be an amazing corner this year. He showed no signs of slowing down and his injury was to his arm. His legs will be well rested and ready to go. I'll put money on his PFF rating being higher than any of the bears corners next year, even if I don't buy their stats.

KLVerified account @Ky1eLong Good riddance

Considering they released a top WR in the league for being annoying to ownership, I hated that they signed him. If he gets cleared again, I'm sure he will be a solid player. It just sends a bad message when you do that.

Tom Brady is an all time great, but I do think the team would have a benefit from under inflated balls. Be it less fumbles, easier to catch balls in that rainy weather, or just comfort for old man Tom it's an advantage to me. Tom seems to think so too, if he is breaking the rules and lying about it.
-
It was only low on one gauge, so they let the balls be used. They were within range on the other gauge. On the gauge on which they were low, it was still minimally low. The difference between the gauges remained consistent. The gauge average .4 pounds lower for the Colts and .45 pounds lower for the Patriots in the first half than the other, and a consistent .4 pounds low for both teams in the second half.

The Colts offense and Patriots D happened in the 2nd half. The Colts were atrocious. They had three different 3 and outs and threw 2 interceptions. One TD of the Patriots was only 13 yards and another was 40 yards. In the first half, the Patriots only scored 2 TD's and a FG, but the FG was from the 3 yard line and his INT was on first down at the 26. And the Colts didn't have 4 balls under 12.5 PSI in the second half. I have no Idea where you got that from.

I think with Cutler, it's more like Russian roulette for a OC. He's most likely going to throw to his first read, so you have to call a play that that guy will get open. Gases's offense is hard to gauge as he basically had a OC in his QB in Denver. I really didn't understand the interest in him as an HC last year. hopefully he can prove he is soething special.
