Totaly disagree, Swearing never is part of life!! In church , I think not, At work (at least at my workplace, a office enviroment) not, with your parents Not, or grand parents not. So to say it is a part of life is false. Its just a lack of discipline and refrainment. I have known plenty of people in this world that finished every sentence with " and sh_t". "you know what I mean and sh_t? or " the whole 9 yards and sh_t" totaly sounded ignorant. If you talk like that its a problem that will be very hard to quit.

I wish to thank all the ones that responded with well thought out answers, Its not that Iam just venting about foul words, its the envirement it creates. The old board had its discussions and arguements but most of the tiem it was kept in real civil text. Since here I noticed a change and the feeling just is not the same. All I was trying to do was let you all know there is and has been a definate shift in posts being rather raunchy. This type of envirement was what old trib board was and I didnt want this one going that way. As for you all providing us a place to talk Bears, it is greatly Appreciated!!!!!! I just thought it would help better our board for the masses.

Oh really? you make light of it, but as the PIxote knows, many Kids come to board like this get opinions, they may not post or even register, but they read, and for adults for the most part to act like that is not saying much to them. And at the old board you never seen any of that.

But since the old messageboard closed, has some its members gone little bad with language here? I have read more garbage with cussing in it since the change. Is there any way to put word filters on this format? I know VBulletin has it as well as PHPBB. I admined plenty in my day. It just seems of stellar posters from the old board have gone south in thier language. I just thought I would bring it up here, being this where all the old posters from bearstalk come.

Agreed on bad taste,, I truly think that Benson may see a drop in all charges and Public apologie from the Department that that did this. It is not looking good for them for sure. I believe a BAT was not preformed, which bodes well for Benson and a Breathalyzer was not available from what i undertsnad, so its the arresting officials word against 15 people. I would say that will be the tilting factor doe Benson.

Didnt Orton as a Rookie lead the Bears to a good enough season to realize he can carry a team? With all the knocks against him of never being under Center, was a system QB, blah b;ah, he never lit it up, but he managed the game better then I expected and showed glimpses of some real good play. There are QB's in the HOF that can not say the sme of thier rookie year.

I know it has been awhile for me to post, But I have a perdicament that is bothering me. At the end of last season Orton was Qb'ing the Bears, He was 2-1 as starter and the team averaged well over 25 points game. To me the team played a lot better with him in then both Rex and griese combined. Here I been reading almost all the posts of the upcomming season and most have Rex ahead Orton. Is there something you guys read somewhere or what?
