Well lets see where do i start NFO. First off the up there comment. 1 Season does not make a QB great. I would put Farve and Eli ahead of Romo . Eli had great numbers and could win the big one plus made MVP of the SB, does that make him elite? If Romo wins ths SB then maybe Ill change my tune, But until then he seems to be the only thing really holding that team back.

When Booker was here the first time, he was always the type of player that sluffed the preseason. When it was game on he preformed and did that well. I have to agree to much hate for Book. I think a lot of fans dont remember his play with us. But thats thier loss.

I would expect Bowman put on the PS, He will be held there till on of our DB's go down. Then he will be back on the roster. Buenning is a monster. Straight up blue collar type of player, I see him in the line up in no time. If healthy he will probably suplant Beekman, But I would not be surprised if Garza is in thier sites. Could be the begining of the line rebuild. At least with Buenning it is a great start.

I would have to agree with your assesment MadLithuanian, But only when The ownership had a more direct lane to negotiate contracts. I truly believe the methodology of Papa Bear influenced the Son in law on how to pay players. The "throwing nickles around like man hole covers" was the order of the day. With Phillips running the show I have seen a significant improvement in contracts as well as staff. I heard somewhere that our scouting department was one the top anywhere. Not sure where I heard it But many of our scouts have been hired by other teams for jobs with more responsibilities. I think the bottom line is that our contract negotiator and spending is much better now since Phillips has been running the show. Saying that is a plus for Bears fans. But calling them Cheap? I would have disagree at this point in time.

Well this debate started with Hoof and I, He pointed out he did the math totally. Well it goes to show he takes a posters word for it. I read db54 stuff on the bears board, and became totaly Disillusioned when things were pointed out to him that he dismissed. LT2 has been spot on since I have known him off the old board. So like I said, Ill take word of PFT or another source of news provider then that of a poster. (except LT2)

First off, lets look what happend to Vikes when trying to sneak a kid to the PS. He was snatched up right away. A 3rd string that is young and can learn is exactly what every team wants. Having Grossman as a back up is a good insurance policy. As Jamie Dukes said, "having a Qb that knows how to win as a back up is important" I tend to agree.
