  1. WTF???? Traded our second rd pick #49 to the Seahawks for their 3rd rd #68. What are we thinking?
  2. Wesson44

    A thought!

The last time we had a pro-bowl type QB and won the Super Bowl was back in 1985. The number he wore was #9. Now we have a probowl QB and flip that number and what do you get.....#6.

    My Draft

IMHO if we got Juaquin Iglesias WR/ Ramses Barden WR / and Burton in the 3rd and either Arron Kelly WR or Murphy in the 4th
  4. I say 4th RD at best
  5. Click this link to see something funny about the bears http://www.bangcartoon.com/2008/delivery.htm
  6. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jaguars | Close to deal with Holt Comment (0) Sat, 18 Apr 2009 12:23:09 -0700 ESPN.com reports the Jacksonville Jaguars are close to a contract with unrestricted free-agent WR Torry Holt (Rams), sources have told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
  7. If it were up to me then I would get Robiskie in the 2nd and Kelly in the 4th
  8. imIMHO I would not draft Mohamed Massaquoi but go after Robiske instead. If we go 2nd round FS the Johnson or the guy from TROY or Burton from ND are the targets, then maybe Kelly from Clemson,at WR in the 3rd(BURRESS TYPE) or Murphy from the Gators. This all depends if Nicks, Britt are taken before pick 49

    Bye Bye Madden

SO NOW WHAT IS THE NFL VIDEO GAME GOING TO BE CALLED??
  10. Great we get the Steelers early like we did the Colts last year so we might be able to get the win before they get on a roll. Also this will test our team up against one of the better team ealy in the season so we can really gauge how we will play the rest of the year. bears 24 Steelers 20
  11. Its a moot point now because the Lions just got him.
  12. It's like being cut. Guys have to go through waivers before being totally cut. Teams can ask for that player from the waiver wire, the team usually with the worst record will get that player before the team with the better record. Thats why the Lions got him before the Raiders and the Rams.
  13. Lions | W. Franklin claimed off waivers Comment (0) Tue, 14 Apr 2009 20:24:41 -0700 Mike Sando, of ESPN.com, reports the Detroit Lions have claimed WR Will Franklin (Chiefs) off waivers

    Ogletree

IMHO I would rather get Aaron Kelly rom Clemson. 6'5 217lb 4.49....puts you in the mind set of Plax Burress without the trouble.
  15. Might be a good replacement for Davis. Davis drops alot of balls is 5'9 and not as fast as Franklin. Franklin could be a steal if we did sign him and he gets his head out of the sand. Someone called him a helicopter? He must be able to jump like out of this world.
  16. Now that we have Cutler and a few Oline players what do we need? Well I for one think that we need a big fast WR to throw to, someone in the mold of Burress. Not necessariliary Burress himself but maybe a guy like Kelly, Robiske in the draft to take some heat off of Hester. Cutler said that he is going to make Bennett better this year since they have played together and Williams will be blocking for him also. But what I really want to see is Turner throwing out his old playbook and get a grip to what his team can really do, and make plays for those down and distance calls. Down and distance you ask well check this and see if this can fit with what you think how an offense should run. Since we are a running team...we of course run the ball on first down maybe getting 3-5 yards. Second down we throw to who? TE over the middle, bootleg to the TE? Ok so put Olsen and Davis in 6'5 and 6'7. If you want to throw down field how does this sound with Hester, Bennett, (Burress/Robiskie/Kelly) and Olsen in the 3 ond or 4 WR set. This has mismatch all over it for the defense. Bennett & Hester inside on the slower SS/LB and speed big men on the ousdie against smaller CB. Red zone targets at 6'3, 6'5, 6'7 and Forte too. If Turner uses his head we can score 30 points per game! Not to mention using Wolfe on screens & draws, Jones to sub for Forte, Cutler rolling out and even the wildcat. I see our team being hard to stop if we use the right game plan.
  17. You might be right but still I would think that what he said would piss over the LT and RT of our team and cause them to want to plant this dude over and over when we play them to teach him to keep his mouth closed
  18. Harvin would be good but I agree that we need a bigger, fast possession WR
  19. Allen is ok but just plays to the whislte and most tackles don't so that makes him look better than he really is. He will have a diferent line this year to deal with so we will see what happens
  20. I say draft Arron Kelly from Clemsom
  21. The NFL regular-season schedule will be revealed at 6 p.m. (CT) Tuesday on NFL Network and NFL.com. At the same time, the Bears’ schedule will be posted on ChicagoBears.com. We already know that the Bears will open the season Sept. 13 on NBC’s Sunday Night Football against the Packers at Lambeau Field. In addition to home and road games against NFC North rivals Detroit, Green Bay and Minnesota, the Bears will host Arizona, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and St. Louis; and visit Atlanta, Baltimore, Cincinnati, San Francisco and Seattle. The Bears have the easiest schedule in the league in 2009, based on their opponents having a .414 winning percentage in 2008. That number is so low because the Bears face the Lions (0-16) twice and also play the Rams (2-14), Seahawks (4-12), Browns (4-12) and Bengals (4-11-1). The Bears are also the only NFL team that plays all four of last year’s conference finalists: Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Arizona and Philadelphia. Interestingly, the Bears don’t play any team whose original pick is between 11 and 20 in the first round of the draft. Their games next season are against opponents who have picks 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 21, 22, 24, 26, 31 and 32
  22. I think it just a matter of experience that we put Pace at Lt and move Williams to RT. Like it was said Pace has a three year contract and I don't think he will be here that long he wants to win another Super Bowl. If we get there or even close he will retire maybe after next year. So that gives Williams playing time on right side before moving to the left. Either way we go if Garza is beaten out we will have a better Oline than last year.
  23. Wesson44

    Tate?

With no offense or prejust to short people....what we need on the team are tall fast WR'S to create more mismatches in the other teams secondary for Gutler to take advantage of on the outside like Moss TO Fitzgerald, Buress etc, wiyh the little quick guys in the slot Hester, Bennett,Davis.
  24. People don't want to spend thousands and then have their flight canceled or delayed. If we had home field advantage and won the SuperBowl who as a fan would care if you we delayed for an hour or two. Me I would still be druck off the Bears Koolaid and would care
  25. Forget Williams sign Murphy or Mitchell in the draft
