It just tells me that we need this guy on the team come on JA get a HOLT of yourself!!
-
I like your train of thought i'm thinking the same way but here is a twist to your story. Now that we have Cutler and will get a WR or two do we become a passing team rather than a running one? The Cutler effect will be greatly enlarged if Turner opens up the thoughts he has in his head! Like this for example. Since Cutler is so mobile are there going to be more bootleg passes to the TE or rollouts to the flats? Something we did maybe like twice last year.
-
I think what he was trying to say is that the roof must stay open and not closed during Bear games to give us that outdoor cold advantage!
-
You must beleive in this team We should have been 12-4 last year with three games we should have won and lost by 9 points total. Now that we have a QB that is something like 15-1 when the defense holds the other team to 21 points and below(and our D is better than the Broncos) new, younger Olinemen and picking up a WR or two that can catch, a FS and we are good.

Our Papa Who art a Bear Hallowed be thy fame Thy championships come Thy play be run At home as it is away Give us this day Jay Cutler And forgive us of our turnovers Though we pounce on those who turnover against us And lead Cutler not to another team But deliver us from Orton.
-
Pixote you are correct, but I said I watched the game....and was not speaking from memory. Hell I wish my memory was that good. So my wife will stop fussing because I get her and my daughters birthday mixed up. They are on the 6 & 7 of July......LOL

I watched the Bears games against the Falcons the year we went to the SuperBowl and Kevin Shaffer was playing LT for the Falcons. To me he was some what ok he was blocking A.Brown and T. Harris all over the field. He did give up a sack to A.Brown who went thoug a gap. He blocks well at the point of attack and then gets off his block and goes downfield to block someone else. One thing that I did notice in him was that he likes to cut block alot diving at the legs. Maybe that was back then but he did it alot without sucess. When the defensive blockers tried to get around him straight blocking...they couldn't and did not get to Vick on his side. I think with our system he will be a good RT.

Please.....I bet if it were one of your family members you would give them a second chance. Better yet if it were you....would you not want a second chance to prove your worth? I don't condon anything he did but as a person he should be given the chance to make up for the things he did. Remember he who is without sin cast the first stone! No one is perfect and we all need a second chance at whatever we do wrong.
-
Like I said before they signed St.Clair when they cut Shaffer that we were in the mix for him, but noooooo some of you laughed at me.
-
It seems to me like all the private workouts are at positions of need for us OT, FS, WR so it would be safe to say that these are the position that we are going to draft next month.
-
Don't worry about the Bears...like I don't. Last year I picked them to go 12-4 we were 9-7 but we lost 3 games we should have won due to players & coaches errors so 12-4 is what we amount to last year in my eyes. Now the Colts don't have thier old coach Dungy so they will suck this year, the Steelers just won the Super Bowl so true to form in the NFL they won't be so great this year the Viking well need I say more about them, and the 6-10 Packers give me a break. Plus look at what those team have done in FA like us almost nothing.

Oh I forgot about the goal line situations. Try this for size. On the goalline we run the three TE set with 6'5 Olsen, 6'7 Davis and 6'5 Osgood who can guard that fade route of jumpball pass? Remember teams had a hard time with Burgess from the Giants at 6'5
-
He would be a better fit than Boston...Boston got too big with the sreroids and lost it Osgood is a two time pro bowler on special teams and wants to be played more at WR. If we get him what could it hurt. He can take Lyoyds place on special teams and we can line him up at TE with Olsen. But there would be many things you can do with a 6'5' 220 lb WR
-
Yes i think he will be there in the 3rd round but Earl will whined up being cut
-
6'5', 220 WR??????? If he can catch go and get him we need a big body WR for Orton to throw to
-
I would have just taken the FS from ND Burton instead of Earl

Bears | Earl agrees to one-year deal Fri, 20 Mar 2009 19:57:08 -0700 Updating a previous item, Vaughn McClure, of the Chicago Tribune, reports free-agent S Glenn Earl (Texans) agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
Let's just hope the LB play well so he can stay just a back-up
-
Yes it was sarcasm> I would not have signed a guy who has not played since 2006 when I can draft a bigger faster player in the draft to mold.
-
I think your last slot will be the TE from Okla State Pettigrew
-
Bears | Earl may sign Fri, 20 Mar 2009 11:22:29 -0700 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears may sign unrestricted free-agent SS Glenn Earl (Texans) Friday, March 20.

Its not going to be as bad as you think. Williams will be the LT, Kruetz at C and the fight is on between Garza and Buening at RG(note Garza sucked last year)Ominyale will be either LG or RT and if we get a FA RT and draft one we will be fine. LT Williams LG Ominyale/Beekman C Kruetz/Beekman RG Buening/Garza RT Ominyale/FA/Draft pick
