  1. I like Howard to set up behind the QB like he did in the first half. It looked effective. Didn't see it in the second. Maybe it was a package thing, who knows.
  2. I see Trubisky making pin point passes on a frequent basis. I also see what you see when over throws a guy that's wide open. That may be either fear or excitement. Maybe both at different times. Also I saw today from our receivers bad back shouldwe route on the end zone from Robinson, bludgeoned catch attempt from Sims, failed comeback route causing a pick, failed effort to fight for under thrown ball that a good receiver catches and we still put up 31 points. Trubisky goes for over 300 with 2 touchdowns and another 80 on the ground against a good defense. All with having less experience in the offense Mahommes and all his weapons have been in for two years. He is doing just fine growing into his role. We are not a 5 win team...
  3. I'm thinking otherwise. Howard hasn't been working well so there is no reason to start now. What we do know is KC put 40 on them at their place. Nagy has also had the full benefit of using camp Reid this week. We also know our D laid a pride damaging egg last week. I'm saying we pin our ears back on D and hit Brady hard and often. We are going to give up points. Might as well have fun doing it. On offense, keep things open so you can show your team that you have faith in what you've been preaching all off season. Control the clock through sustained drives and hope you have the ball last.
  4. My hope is that we press and dare Brady to beat us deep. I know that's asking for trouble, but it's a gamble that can pay off if we can hit Brady multiple times.
  5. How much conversation has transpired this week between Nagy and Reid? Trust this, Reid wants us win badly enough to offer a ton of assistance. Let the games begin!
  6. Gotta say, I hate stats. Eye test tells me Trubisky is getting better...
  7. I didn't get to watch the game, but noticed the weather. 86° and humid is not close to football weather in October. Fatigue may have played a part in some of the poor defense.
  8. We talked about that this at work this morning. They have already restructured a couple of contracts and are actively hunting.
  9. The Mack trade will go down as one of the most pivotal trades the NFL has seen. His ability to make everyone better is akin to Peyton Manning going to the Broncos. Many on this site have clamored for more pass rush. See how getting the best affects the rest now? Mack has made Trubisky and Nagy better, as well, by giving them the confidence that the D can hold the line. This team may be a contender a year sooner than we all hoped. All while staying in great cap shape and having a young roster. Well done Pace! I want to throw out a side shout out to John Fox for establishing a great locker room and establishing strong base. And without him, Fangio never comes here...
  10. Shhhh, Bill the brain is watching...
  11. I'm excited about this team, but not ready to put them in the top 7 as of yet. I read on one of the rankings that 21 out of 22 of our starters can take us to the Super Bowl. It's that one key player that is young and needs to continue to develop. If he grows into a franchise QB, we are going to be in the window for a long time. Last week was a great start. Hopefully it was a coming out party!
  12. He's around. Nagy is just playing the hot hand. RE: Howard
  13. Game is blocked in Indy due to Colts playing at home. Any internet options?

    Conte

He gets to replace the butt fumble.

    Conte

Conte may be in the highlight of the year! Lol!!!
  16. He dislocated his shoulder twice. His doctor says he can tough it out with a brace, but surgery is inevitable. Once that happens, it's a 6 month rehab. My guess is that he's done for the season.
  17. From my coaching and playing experience, when something good happens you want to lock that in with your developing player ASAP. After a touchdown a player is on a high, at that time everything positive from a coach is remembered as such and retain forever, creating trust and confidence. The sooner true trust and confidence is instilled, the sooner you see instinctive plays. When you get those instinctive plays the defense has to counter on a "bell curve" making the offense exponentially more effective.
  18. Thoughts on Trubisky, since we all seem to agree on the rest. When running scripted plays, he looks very good. What does this say? It says, when prepared, he shows the confidence and decision making ability to be very successful. Two opening TD drives in two games tells a good tale. Looking forward, when this offense becomes more instinctive to him, the 2nd half will also look better. Patience folks, my eye test likes what it sees. We should be 2-0 right now and no-one expected that. We should dominate Arizona on Sunday.
  19. Nobody said that. They said, could have. I truly believe if he saw it develop, he would have attempted the throw. Unfortunately, he saw it too late. IMO, hindsight should have told him to tuck and run for the first down.
  20. Wilson was running for his life Sunday. If that's the case, I want Roquan in there.
  21. It has a story that puts it in perspective on CBS sports online. Not nearly as bad as it looks...
