Disappointed Johnson and Skrine couldn’t play Sunday. If Johnson has a serious shoulder injury can’t understand why he isn’t on IR

I don’t like to see players suffer injuries but the Packers losing David Bakhtiari to a season ending injury should help the front four get pressure on Rogers. https://www.nfl.com/news/packers-lt-david-bakhtiari-suffers-season-ending-knee-injury

On offense I hope we run the ball and use a lot of RPO with Mitch. I think Green Bay will use a 5 or 6 man front similar to the front they used to stop Derrick Henry. From a 2 TE, 2 WR and 1 HB I’m hoping we can run the ball effectively and when we pass Mitch’s options are small so he can get rid of the ball quickly On defense I’m hoping that Johnson and Skrine are available and if we can’t pressure Rogers with a 4 man front Pagano can use some exotic blitz’s possibly with Smith and Trevathan showing blitz and coming or dropping out of it. I think having Hicks available will be a massive difference to the game earlier this year.

Any chance Jayson Johnson plays next week. Need him when we smash the cheese heads next week. Hope the Titans give them a hard game and they need to play their starters. Greenbay’s bye week was early so they are likely to be nursing some injuries. Would like to power into the playoffs instead of limping in. -

Hope you turn around in the 2nd half came from the coaches putting a fire in the players. The 1st half was so lacklustre. D seems to have turned up now. If we see this out what result would be best for the packers. I would like to see the Titans smash them up. -

D and O not very good. At least we have a good kicker. The first half has been a joke. If I didn’t know better I would say the players don’t want to make the playoffs. -

D should be ashamed of their performance in the first half. Glennon is taking the piss with them. -
No thanks to Robbie Gould. Come on the Bears tonight was sweet.

Watching the Cardinals v 49ers. Looking good at the start. Fingers crossed we might have a great Christmas present today. -
Watched the Eagles v Cardinals yesterday. Thought we were going to move into the last wildcard. The Eagles had 2 dropped catches in the end zone of their penultimate drive and 2 Hail Mary chances. Now on to next weekend. Looks like it will need us to beat the Packers and the Rams to make the playoffs. Looks like it’s a game that the Rams need to win.

I want to win because if you get in you never know. The draft is a crapshoot so don’t care about the order. Mitch was the no 1 rated QB so if we would have stayed at 3 and he wasn’t taken would anyone here have passed on him. It’s easy with hindsight to say we should have drafted Mahomes or Watson but Trubisky was rated higher. I wonder if Pace wanted to draft Mahomes but choose Trubisky because he was deemed safer. If I remember rightly Mahomes was considered high risk/high reward.

Pace has made some mistakes but I felt when we resigned Fuller it was a need which I was happy with. I think he earned his contract and is one of the few successful 1st round picks we have had. Signing Mack was something I was ecstatic about at the time and definitely after the Green Bay game. In hindsight I think we over paid. Again is there anyone who argued with Pace when Mack was signed. I can see the reasoning for signing Quinn because Floyd wasn’t getting it done. Probably was wrong because of the financial implications of Covid and the projected cap reduction. Has the NFL made an announcement that the cap will reduce this year. I think that will be harsh because the pandemic was something no one could predict and if the teams are forced to get under the cap ultimately the product will suffer.

I still don’t know if the Bears have a true idea of Mitch’s value considering the offense isn’t designed to his strengths and the oline as been awful. Is there any scenario which is good for Mitch and the Bears that we can resign him. Would the transition tag be out of the question. If we drafted a QB in the first round what would the salary be.
-
I don’t know how reliable Over The Cap is but it looks like we are in a right mess. Pace just throws money without caring about the consequences. The amount of money tied up with Mack and Quinn is ridiculous especially when they have been poor. If we move on from Leno and Massie next year there is still a lot of dead money owed. 2 years ago things looked good and now it’s worse than the Trestmen and Emery era.

There must be offensive linemen on other teams practice squads better than the Bears are using today and probably all season. This must be the worst linemen historically the Bears have ever had. Gabe Carimi was bad I don’t know if this bad. This is embarrassing. I think this season is done. I will keep watching but offensively we are inept

Could the Bears be in negotiations with Mitch about a contract extension trying to sign him on the cheap and if so what would the contract be. Would the fans be happy if he signed a 4 year deal for say $75 million with $55 million guaranteed or do you think the player or his agent would have no interest in signing a contract at this size I work out why they haven’t exercised the 5th year option. If you think about Leonard Floyd over his 3 years who of the 2 would you have exercised the 5th year on. I think Mitch produced more over his 3 years.
