Bears @ Jaguars, Week 16 Trap Game, 12/27, SUN, 12:00pm, CBS, Bears -7.5
D and O not very good. At least we have a good kicker. The first half has been a joke. If I didn’t know better I would say the players don’t want to make the playoffs.

D should be ashamed of their performance in the first half. Glennon is taking the piss with them.

49ers take down the cards!
No thanks to Robbie Gould. Come on the Bears tonight was sweet.

Watching the Cardinals v 49ers. Looking good at the start. Fingers crossed we might have a great Christmas present today.

Your 7-7 Chicago Bears!
Watched the Eagles v Cardinals yesterday. Thought we were going to move into the last wildcard. The Eagles had 2 dropped catches in the end zone of their penultimate drive and 2 Hail Mary chances. Now on to next weekend. Looks like it will need us to beat the Packers and the Rams to make the playoffs. Looks like it’s a game that the Rams need to win.

Week 15 Playoff Eliminator Play-In Game, Bears at Vikings, Sunday, 12/20/2020, 12pm, FOX
I want to win because if you get in you never know. The draft is a crapshoot so don’t care about the order. Mitch was the no 1 rated QB so if we would have stayed at 3 and he wasn’t taken would anyone here have passed on him. It’s easy with hindsight to say we should have drafted Mahomes or Watson but Trubisky was rated higher. I wonder if Pace wanted to draft Mahomes but choose Trubisky because he was deemed safer. If I remember rightly Mahomes was considered high risk/high reward.

Remaking the bears 2021
Pace has made some mistakes but I felt when we resigned Fuller it was a need which I was happy with. I think he earned his contract and is one of the few successful 1st round picks we have had. Signing Mack was something I was ecstatic about at the time and definitely after the Green Bay game. In hindsight I think we over paid. Again is there anyone who argued with Pace when Mack was signed. I can see the reasoning for signing Quinn because Floyd wasn’t getting it done. Probably was wrong because of the financial implications of Covid and the projected cap reduction. Has the NFL made an announcement that the cap will reduce this year. I think that will be harsh because the pandemic was something no one could predict and if the teams are forced to get under the cap ultimately the product will suffer.

Remaking the bears 2021
I still don’t know if the Bears have a true idea of Mitch’s value considering the offense isn’t designed to his strengths and the oline as been awful. Is there any scenario which is good for Mitch and the Bears that we can resign him. Would the transition tag be out of the question. If we drafted a QB in the first round what would the salary be.

Loser Bowl 2.0 Watson vs Developmental QB Game of the Week, On sometime, on some channel
Well I’m still hoping that the Eagles beat the Cardinals, we win out and if necessary the Rams beat the cardinals in their last game. wonder how the season would have gone if Nagy hadn’t tried his Foles experiment. Thought the benching of Mitch was harsh anyway.

NFC North Loser Bowl Official Game Thread, Detroit Lionesses vs Chicago Bearded Ladies, probably Sunday, noon, Channel: don't tune in
10 pts up and defense rolls over. No way Detroit do an onside kick and we end up starting inside the 20. Then 3 plays and 2 are a pass. complete incompetence

Cap mess
I don’t know how reliable Over The Cap is but it looks like we are in a right mess. Pace just throws money without caring about the consequences. The amount of money tied up with Mack and Quinn is ridiculous especially when they have been poor. If we move on from Leno and Massie next year there is still a lot of dead money owed. 2 years ago things looked good and now it’s worse than the Trestmen and Emery era.

Bears @ Titans - Week 9 - Official Game Thread - 11/8, Bears +6, 12:00 PM CT, FOX
Last series is an absolute joke. I will still keep watching but it’s soul destroying. Please Nagy give up the play calling.

Bears @ Titans - Week 9 - Official Game Thread - 11/8, Bears +6, 12:00 PM CT, FOX
There must be offensive linemen on other teams practice squads better than the Bears are using today and probably all season. This must be the worst linemen historically the Bears have ever had. Gabe Carimi was bad I don’t know if this bad. This is embarrassing. I think this season is done. I will keep watching but offensively we are inept

Bears at Lions - Week 1 - Official Game Thread - 9/13, Bears +3, 12:00 PM CT, FOX
Mitch hasn’t been accurate with his throws. Would like to see if Foles can throw better but I don’t know if Nagy will change it today. The series before the Lions scored a TD was terrible.

Trubisky's 5th Year Option
Could the Bears be in negotiations with Mitch about a contract extension trying to sign him on the cheap and if so what would the contract be. Would the fans be happy if he signed a 4 year deal for say $75 million with $55 million guaranteed or do you think the player or his agent would have no interest in signing a contract at this size I work out why they haven’t exercised the 5th year option. If you think about Leonard Floyd over his 3 years who of the 2 would you have exercised the 5th year on. I think Mitch produced more over his 3 years.
-
Trubisky's 5th Year Option
Can’t work out why the Bears haven’t made a decision but shall we have a poll on whether the 5th year option is picked up or not.
-
State of the Bears
I agree with what you have said. I’m interested in the following: What the Bears do with Mitch’s 5th year option. If it isn’t picked up is the QB an open battle or is it already been given to Foles. If it’s an open battle I’m hoping Mitch take up the challenge and is in a good place being in the 3rd year of this system. I’m hoping the issues with last years were down to the poor TE play and having addressed this he will improve. I’m am still concerned with the OL and whether the play across the board last year is the baseline or can be improved. The Oline coach last year was supposed to be great as is the new one, so I don’t know if the issue is with ability, desire to improve, teaching or all of the 3. I am looking forward to seeing the front 7 play. With Hicks, Smith and Trevathan healthy and having a legitimate player opposite Mack I could be scary good.

Bears post draft depth chart
There are indications in Europe that the football seasons may be scrapped this year. In the UK no decision has been made yet.

Bears post draft depth chart
https://www.windycitygridiron.com/2020/4/29/21238672/chicago-bears-2020-nfl-draft-previewing-bears-depth-chart-cole-kmet-nick-foles-mitchell-trubisky The depth has been updated. I suppose the only areas which could be improved is the 2nd running back and an improvement at the tackle position although I can’t see the later being addressed. I think on paper this projected depth chart looks better than last year. The only issue going forward is when will the season start and how will this look. I think sport will look vastly different when the country’s come out of lock down at least until a vaccine is found.

WHAT'S NEXT
Looks like we’ve added Ted Ginn jnr. Thought we were set at WR.

2021 Comp Picks
It wouldn’t surprised me we only receive 2 x 6th round picks because if any team gets stiffed by rule decisions in the NFL it’s the Bears.
