Brees has a current qb rating of 99.9 He has a 79.4 qb rating this season when playing on the road.

You make some excellent points but there is something about Detroit were rookie RB's do well and then production falls off. Currently Lions rookie Kevin Smith is averaging 4.5 yds per carry and has 5 td's. I wonder if his production falls off next yr ? I don't have a problem with Kevin Jones and liked the signing. Now having seen him he's very much like AP. They both have similar speed and receiving abilities but AP is a very good special teams player. KJ isn't a special teams player. IMO the coaching staff isn't at fault for not having KJ active. I wouldn't mind seeing Wolf get some PT @ RB as well.

Mendenhall was injured in game 4 against the Ravens. He was placed on the IR with a shoukder injury before game 5.

The BEARS know all too well that gap control is the key to stopping AP. It's easier said than done with Peterson's great cut back running style.

They met with the commish last week and he can possibly rule this week. So if he suspends them before Sunday they can play Sunday night ? The commish is wise ???

Saints have only one road (30-20 over KC ) victory this season . I like the BEARS chances when the Saints visit Soldier Field.

Briggs get's my vote as best defensive player thus far this season. Wish a few more guys would step it up to his level of play.

The entire o-line has exceeded my expectations for this yr. Tait played well and hopefully we'll see similar play from him vs vikes.

AP played better today than Jones has ever played this yr. KJ hasn't done anything so I sure didn't miss him. Bennett had his shot during camp and obviously hasn't improved his statis by his practice play. I can't blame the coaching staff for either being inactive. They aren't good enough to suit up. It's hardly a big deal.

I was encouraged by Tommie's play. Hopefully it contines next week vs vikes.

Art, Orton will have to be very close to 100% and play at a high level for the BEARS to defeat the vikes. I'm hoping the 3 viking players (use of illegal substance) get suspended before Sundays game. that will also help !

I don't give the players a free pass or the coaching staff. At the moment they all appear to be doing a less than satisfacory job. As bad as Harris and DD are. The guys behind them are not much better and Adams is down right horrible. How many guys on defense are actually earning their money ?? 1 or 2 ?

Anderson has played in 22 games in a row without a sack. I blame the coaching staff too ! What are they doing letting the guy play ?

I had big hopes for Bennett and then he pretty much played himself out of any chance to start before the end of August. Hopefully Rideau will see some playing time but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I like our D-line a bunch but I can't honestly say the Bears D-line is the best. Even without Strahan the Giants have a good D-line as do the Bolts with their 3 d-linemnn of Castillo, Williams and Olshansky. vikes will cause a lot of problems with K Williams, P Williams and new DE Allen. If Harrison produces and Dusty plays a few games. Bears have the ability to have the best D-line in the NFL. They are in the top 5 IMO and could move to the top with a healthy & productive year from A Brown, Ogun, Idonije, Harris, DD, Anderson & Harrison. I know it's a lot to ask for but the Giants stayed pretty healthy at D-line and won it all.
