He has to prove himself in pre season games. Needs to develop more. Browning was around for 5 years and just got his chance to play now. He did well in developing a few years. Although if Poles thinks he could end up being good, he may not draft a QB this year.
-
As people look as this team as bad, we're not that team anymore. If we win the last 2 games we will be 6-2 in the last 8 games. We aren't the losers of 0-4 start anymore. Poles thinks we can win now, unless he drafts Joe Burrows ( who is that), why would he draft a QB that could take 3 yrs to be good? Fields was a pick 11. He expects us to win now. Actually with Fields we could 6-2 right now. You add more blue chip players, you're only going to enhance whoever the QB is worth. He's going to get a haul like last year, still draft a prospect at QB to develop, and win now. This makes the most sense looking at it from Poles perspective. Just think if he gets to trade back twice with in the top 5 picks. I can't even fathom the haul he gets.

Because Poles got a haul last year, he could trade the top pick for more this yr. He will take that , his fall back is Fields, and still draft a QB somewhere. He is not stuck on ( he has to take a QB) he found Bagent as a UDFA. Ewers- Pratt-Milton are not first round picks, he could draft one in the second round. example: Michael Pratt 6'3" 220 lbs 2,406 TD 22 INT 5 QBR 65.5

On the trade side, if Fields looks good in the last 2 games, if Poles decides to draft a QB high, a team may get desperate for a QB, not in the top 10, and give us a #1 for Fields.. (TB-Denver-Minn-LV-Pitt) Could be 4 QBs in the top 10 this yr. 6 teams in the top 10 could draft a QB

In the Falcons last game only 9 of 32 attempted passes went to WRs. They are throwing underneath all the time. Atlanta russed for 177 yrds. If we keep them under 100 yrds rushing we win the game. TOs will matter. The only yr Heinicke started for the whole yr, he threw 20 TDs and 15 int, almost 1 a game. Predictions; we hold them under 110 yrds rushing we have 3 picks- pick 6 for Gordon we have 4 sacks Fields rushes for 114 yds- 210 passing yds- 2 TDs- 1 rushing TD we win 27-13 -
I dont think Poles wanted that out there, I would say the janitor (joking) overheard something and its a in the house contact. Poles is to smart to let that information out for public consumtion right now. No reason to do it right now. The team has gotten better in yr 2, he kept the team together thru a lot of losses. People want to look at his record but the first yr was a tear down of the whole roster, that doesnt produce wins. So take him just on this yr. Bad at first (on him with the slow start) but as soon as he got him a pass rusher, everything flips. If he had that guy on day 1 , what would our record be righnow? Things to like and things to not like. Poles picked him, why wouldnt he bring him back. We still can be 8-9 this year finishing the season 6-2. That s the same script thar Lions did last yr and Cambell gets praised.

I just seen on X that it is reported that Flus is going to be back. Anyone know the source for that? Writers make stuff up and everyone assumes its true? Rumors are riduculous. Why would any GM announce that before the end of the season.

Williams is the most physical and Miami is cap strapped next year. Not sure how long the injury takes to heal.
-
Not sure you can take everything PFF states as realistic. If that's says we're the 27 th best team in the League, Their off.
-
I just did a draft that had the same 7 top picks except for a different WR.
-
It's all part of the evaluation process. Everything matters.

The Rams losing 2 doesn't seem doable, their playing well right now. Sea doesn't have tough games.

He has been injured foe several games, he is back this week. -
I have moved on from Justin looking for a higher ceiling but I keep seeing former players praise Justin. For me it will be the evaluation of the rookie QBs more than Justin ,as is , but my opinion is subject to change going forward. Former players are 85% in Justin's corner. That's amazing. Its hard to ignore their opinion.

Connow Williams, Miami, 27 Andre James, LV, 27 Lloyd Cushenberry, Denver, 27 The only PFF rating I saw this yr at midseason had them rated top 10 in league , that could be different now , I dont have a PFF script. Others Tyler Bladasz, Cowboys, 27--Evan Brown, Seahawks, 27 Connor Williams is the prize, Miami has cap issues, they are 40 mil in the hole next yr. Tua only has one more yr left on his contract, they may want to extend him. He is injured right now and have a second round pick with 3 yrs experience playing right now. They will move on from Williams who made 8 mil this yr. He has a torn, ACL, not sure of recover time for that injury. Another thought is Drew Dalman from Atlanta. He was ranked second in the PFF rating. If we traded Justin to Atl, we could get him thrown in on the deal. He has one more yr on his rookie deal.

I agree Poles has been about as tight for information as you can get, he never lets any information out whether in the draft or on trades. he's full of surpises. If we win the last 2 games , I dont see Flus gone but Gesty is on thin ice. He picked Flus, its only yr 2 of his rebuild and yr 1c was a total tear down of the roster. The first yr was a wash, yet they were 7 games lost at the end of the game. Flus has bagage but you cant deny owning the locker room and the upscale defensive play.

The Bears fandom has been so crazy this year. If something wasnt worded exatly , a lot of writers are assuming he meant something else. No way at this time he would say , any player wasnt going to be here next yr or lose there job, they have 2 gamrs left.

I think he addrersses C and FS in FAgency, both positions wont command big salaries as compared to getting an edge or another 3 T. He will draft ones but not sure that early.

If you trade during the draft , you don't have to pick up the option. He will be asked that 100 times by reporters, just lead them on. It's all about driving a trade value up. The draft haul will be because 2 teams will be bidding against each other. -
Wow you're doing research on OCs, good job . Poles had some interesting things to say in his interview he mentioned both coaches and players need to straighten things out. I don't think he liked Getsys play calling in those short yardage situations. Definitely think we get a new OC, all the good ones will be getting HC jobs, we need to find an up and coming QB coach, or an offensive mind that has been forgotten along the way. Or a college coach looking for an NFL future. Plenty of choices coming our way. We are fortunate to have both Poles and Cunningham to figure it out with input from Warren. The more the better.

Today on twitter they were talking about Poles view of Fields. He is going to praise him and say he is picking up his 5th yr option just to build his value if he wants to trade him. Going into the draft. That would be a bad GM to let everyone know he wants to move on from Fields. -
Were you listening when Shaun King was on the SCORE today? I thought they were talking to his dad the way he was praisng Justin. An awful lot of former players sure are on Justins bandwagon.

The Falcons arec 2-5 on the road, lost to Washington, Carolina, Arizona, and Tenn . They average 12.5 points a game away from home.. -
I played football and ripped my knee in my first yr in college, so that was that. What I was refering to was, people have supported him, that's on tape, but to assume there are a group that doesnt like him, that's a little over the skis. If you're winning its just a better atmosphere, losing never creats happiness. I think Justin is a hard worker and has a toughness about him that gets respect from fellow players. Im sure 100% of the roster doesnt like him but he doesnt seem to be a ego tripper, doubt he makes trouble in the locker room.

I check this website out freqently ( Ourlads) , its run by former NFL scouts. Their top 32 players has Daniels at 1) Williams at 7) and Maye at 23. Because of the value of QBs, those 3 will be top 10 picks, if not top 5. I like to look at former scouts sites for obvious reasons. Draft Countdown and GBND report are a few of the other ones. Could we take Daniels at #1?
