  1. They have a 2nd rate QB coach and no one is running the show. This reaks of its time to go. And Turner is clearly allowing it and encouraging it. If you get a franchise QB, you need to do everything you can for that franchise QB. Part of that is providing him with top flight offensive talent, offensive minds, and offensive coaches.
  2. Urlacher can get the freak out. I like that he's fired up, but don't ignore the defense their Urly. Over 500 yards given up, what an embarassment.
  3. Lovie comes in at halftime, says the season is on the line, and the Bears get what, negative yards on offense in the 2nd half. I believe it was -3 yards of offense in the 2nd half. freakin pathetic. Get lost Lovie.
  4. Its why I go ballistic on all the num-nuts blaming everything on Jay. Sure Jay could have played better, but at the end of the day he's had very little chance of suceeding given what he has around him. Its freakin pathetic and the staff better be gone.

    Im sorry but

I really believe it is just a matter of time until Cutler explodes on the coaches.

    Im sorry but

Absolutely. Give him some sort of coaching and help. This was the first game all season where he was inaccurate and even than he was getting knocked on his ass again all game. I'm so freakin sick of all the whining crybabies. The way Chicago Bears fans have treated their last QB's, they should all be ashamed. And I mean it. No one deserves the heat Grossman/Cutler have gotten. Its really freakin pathetic and embarassing.
  7. Have you seen Olsen run routes though. Very uncrisp and very poor. He has great tools but isn't a great football player. Him and Hester are two guys I'd trade in a heartbeat because I think we could get decent value draft pick wise for him (and have a massive need there) and could find veteran replacements for relatively cheap, imo. Plus I happen to like Kellen Davis and still think Clark has a bit left in his tank as well. Neither will be as good as Olsen but I think Olsen is heavily over-rated and isn't a good enough receiver as a Te to make up for his inadequacies when it comes to blocking.
  8. The big problem was the Bears gave him #1 Wr money. I still think and thought at the time that the best think we could do was trade him for the draft picks. I'd still trade him for a 2nd rounder today if we had a chance, especially with the lack of picks that we have.
  9. I can't say that. 3 of the 5 weren't his fault and the 5th one, well he should have dumped it earlier but by the time he had scrambled that was it, he had to throw it. he throws it away, clock is gone anyway, imo. I feel so so bad for Jay. He's got absolutely nothing to help him out. This is one of the most inept teams I've ever seen offensively. I've never seen a team run as poorly as this team does. And than our WR's are just so bad at running routes. They are at least making catches for the most part, but they stop on so many routes and just fail to get open.
  10. Forte did a nice job on the screens and it made me think he still has ability but it just puts a bigger magnifying glass on how much this oline is hindering the entire offense. It is absolutely ridiculous how the lack of experience or WR's have combined with a completely inept Oline is allowing our QB to get absolutely KILLED.
  11. Knox isn't a complete receiver yet, hopefully he will be one day. In fact, most of our WR's are very raw. They don't know how to read coverage and effectively get off bumps, use picks properly, etc. It is one of the many reasons it is so frustrating to watch this team.
  12. I don't know, in a pretty short time the Bears have turned Hester into a pretty solid receiver. I think Drakes and company deserve credit for that.
  13. According to the Tribune, he won't be suspended.
  14. You don't get much when you trade a player. Tommie Harris is about the only candidate. The Bears are gonig to have to spend on FA.
  15. John Clayton was on ESPN Radio and said the Bears and Niners would be obvious choices and they have looked into Larry Johnson. However, they wouldn't be doing anything since they both have short weeks and couldn't get him into the fold in time. So in short, if LJ is available after Thursday's game we might sign him.
  16. They say Omilaye is a tackle. So why the hell don't we move Williams and try Omilaye at tackle since Pace is clearly done?
  17. You are correct. He had a DUI, but I love the idea of drafting Iowa lineman.
  18. Dang, didn't realize they got guaranteed part-way through the season. Do you know how many games into the season contracts become guaranteed?
  19. So he'll get the remainder of his salary if we cut him? I thought he'd only get what he's been paid thus far since contracts aren't guaranteed?
  20. I've wondered the same, but I think it has more to do with the team just going up against better offenses than anything else. Although if I'm Tommie Harris, I'd be bringing up that point.
  21. I think you've hit the nail on the head with this paragraph and I'm curious to see what the case is. Basically I see one of three things happening: Phillips has faith in Angelo: We fire Lovie, Angelo brings in another guy, and he gets a few years with that guy. Phillips has lost faith in both: We fire both Phillips has lost just a bit of faith in Angelo and faith in Lovie: We give them each one more year on an ultimatum.
  22. I realize that we've already past the trade deadline, but I think its time to take a look at the future of this Bears team. One of the first names that comes to my mind is the wiley veteran, Olin Kreutz. Should we start to go another direction as we work on rebuilding our line? Could he be able to help us land an extra 3rd round pick in a trade? Would Josh Beekman (the so called guy grooming for the job) be a solid center. Essentially, should we trade Kreutz in the off-season for a 3rd or 4th pick, move Beekman to Center and than spend the money saved (plus whats in our coffers) for a big time tackle (or just find a real good RT if we think Williams can play LT). Use a draft pick or two on guards, plus sign a veteran guard to go with the RT and call it and off-season.
