  1. But when you look at the reality of the matter. He's had WR's running wrong routes all the time. No offensive line and one of the worse rushing attacks in the NFL. Basically put, he's had no chance to succeed and I dont know how we've even won the number of games we have won. Yes it is frustrating to point out his multi-pick games, but even than, most of the picks were due to other factors. He's had a few bad games, but so will every QB. The guy is getting so much shit and its such bullshit.
  2. Thank you. And there has been a shitload of times this has happened. Just watch Jay on the field, he's cosntantly talking to his WR's and trying to explain them what they should be doing. Than you watch the replay and see that yep, Jay is right, the WR broke the wrong way and while to the untrained eye it easily looks like a terrible pass to no one, it really is the WR going the wrong way. This has happened more on this team than I've ever seen in the NFL and it shoudln't come as a shock. 2 of the top 3 Wr's on this team had zero receptions entering the season (Bennett/Knox). And the other WR has about 2.5 years of experience at the position. Basically put, we have three guys who don't know the nuances of the NFL game at the receiver position and while they can learn, they are so raw that it just kills our offense more often than it helps. I like the potential of Knox and love the strides he's made, think Devin has been pretty solid when you take into account his experience and that Bennett has the best hands but has trouble getting open. But add in all the blunders they've had and you are talking about a horrendous overall receiving corps as of now. DA looked pretty good. Great body control, good hands, nice size. Give him more experience, move Hester who will never be a #1 and is more likely going to be a #3 or a solid #2, and sign a big-time WR.
  3. The two time-outs in one play was just another thing on the long list of reasons why Lovie needs to go.
  4. Right now this team has zero #2 Wr's and zero #1 Wr's. Knox and DA could develop into #2's, but it is way too early on to comment on DA since he has played significant minutes in all of one game (and looked pretty good). But the Bears are completely inexperienced at the WR position and probably 15 of Jay's picks have been a result of that. WR's running the wrong routes is constantly going on and while most fans seem to blame Jay for the throws (and he's had some bad picks) in this case, more than any, he's been pointing and trying to teach his WR's on the fly how to make a right read and the appropriate break. We saw more of it in this Sunday's game and it is very frustrating to watch as a fan who understands a lot of the hidden nuances that go into being a WR. Knox is developing on the fly and learning to make better reads, but he still had another few today where he just made the wrong route and it cost the Bears. Bottom line this Bears WR corps is atrocious and it has really hindered the team. I will even go as far as bunching Olsen into this group. He's as over-rated as it gets by Bear fans. Yes he is fast for a TE, but he isn't a great route-runner, is a horrendous blocker, and by and large has mediocre hands.
  5. I don't buy this talk that him being a full-time receiver has impacted his return abilities. Yes, Devin hasn't been a special return man since he started as a full-time receiver, but I'd also like to point out that very rarely do guys last a long time as a sucessful return man. Teams make adjustments and get better at defending guys. And for people that say you can't be a quality return man and receiver, just look at Desean Jackson in Philly. He's pretty damn good at both. Bottom line, Devin is overpaid and is not a great WR. If I were the Bears I'd trade him for a 2nd round pick if we could. Could he be a valuable 2nd or 3rd WR, absolutely, but given the Bears needs I'd move Hester in a heart-beat and I don't think he's stunk it up on special teams because of the fact that he's playing wide-out.
  6. I'd definitely be fine with that. Either way, Bates was calling the plays so I'd say he's qualified for the gig.
  7. I was for the trade than and I'd be for it now. He isn't a special player. And given our needs if someone else paid the price of a special player than we'd be stupid not to accept such offer.
  8. I'd be ok with this. He's young, up and coming, and has a good reputation with Jay. I also think he knows Shanny's system pretty well.
  9. I'll always watch. Plus I figured we'd get a win. Not like we are rooting for a high draft pick or anything. So ya, I watched. Plus I like to see if our young guys can contribute and I still love watching Jay, even though he has nothing to work with.
  10. I can't make a case for anything other than an F. He's the head coach and there has been a whole crapload of coaching issues this year. We expected playoffs and didn't get it. Whether the expectations were too high or not, we didn't live up to him and its the third straight year we haven't. F!!!
  11. I have to rip on the coaches. Offensively we did nothing, were blah, and really could have just as easily lost this game. Defense played good, but against no one.
  12. Haugh should realize who the Bears were playing. A horrendous football team with one of the worse defenses in the league, including run defenses and up until the very end of the game this team still couldn't run the ball. WE have the most inept rushing game in the NFL and it is one of the worse rushing games of the last decade. The team is complete trash, imo, especially the offensive side of the ball. The bright side is the team has the WR's that can be #2 through #4 and solid enough TE play (although I'd deal Olsen for a 1st or 2nd rounder if we could and find something else cause I think we could use the picks) but the line is beyond pathetic and we desperately need a #1 WR. Oh and playcalling.
  13. Dude, the defense blows. Most of the guys won't be around in a couple years anyway. The defenses window died three years ago and we still hear about how great it is from tiem to time. Its sickening and our D sucks. Yea they were decent against the Rams and Browns, but those are two of the most inept offenses in NFL history.
  14. At least he talks about how its unacceptable and it sounds liek changes are coming. I just hope Lovie is one of those changes. I'm excited at the thought of Weis too.
  15. They have a 2nd rate QB coach and no one is running the show. This reaks of its time to go. And Turner is clearly allowing it and encouraging it. If you get a franchise QB, you need to do everything you can for that franchise QB. Part of that is providing him with top flight offensive talent, offensive minds, and offensive coaches.
  16. Urlacher can get the freak out. I like that he's fired up, but don't ignore the defense their Urly. Over 500 yards given up, what an embarassment.
  17. Lovie comes in at halftime, says the season is on the line, and the Bears get what, negative yards on offense in the 2nd half. I believe it was -3 yards of offense in the 2nd half. freakin pathetic. Get lost Lovie.
  18. Its why I go ballistic on all the num-nuts blaming everything on Jay. Sure Jay could have played better, but at the end of the day he's had very little chance of suceeding given what he has around him. Its freakin pathetic and the staff better be gone.
  19. DABEARSDABOMB

    Im sorry but

I really believe it is just a matter of time until Cutler explodes on the coaches.
  20. DABEARSDABOMB

    Im sorry but

Absolutely. Give him some sort of coaching and help. This was the first game all season where he was inaccurate and even than he was getting knocked on his ass again all game. I'm so freakin sick of all the whining crybabies. The way Chicago Bears fans have treated their last QB's, they should all be ashamed. And I mean it. No one deserves the heat Grossman/Cutler have gotten. Its really freakin pathetic and embarassing.
  21. Have you seen Olsen run routes though. Very uncrisp and very poor. He has great tools but isn't a great football player. Him and Hester are two guys I'd trade in a heartbeat because I think we could get decent value draft pick wise for him (and have a massive need there) and could find veteran replacements for relatively cheap, imo. Plus I happen to like Kellen Davis and still think Clark has a bit left in his tank as well. Neither will be as good as Olsen but I think Olsen is heavily over-rated and isn't a good enough receiver as a Te to make up for his inadequacies when it comes to blocking.
  22. The big problem was the Bears gave him #1 Wr money. I still think and thought at the time that the best think we could do was trade him for the draft picks. I'd still trade him for a 2nd rounder today if we had a chance, especially with the lack of picks that we have.
  23. I can't say that. 3 of the 5 weren't his fault and the 5th one, well he should have dumped it earlier but by the time he had scrambled that was it, he had to throw it. he throws it away, clock is gone anyway, imo. I feel so so bad for Jay. He's got absolutely nothing to help him out. This is one of the most inept teams I've ever seen offensively. I've never seen a team run as poorly as this team does. And than our WR's are just so bad at running routes. They are at least making catches for the most part, but they stop on so many routes and just fail to get open.
