Was Jones out there for more series than the short lived series where Roschon fumbled? I saw on the play where we fumbled what looked like the center and right side of the line opening up a big hole for RJ.

It was a good one…I was pretty sure you were kidding but with NFL nothing would surprise me (as you said someone will complain).

He isn't playing - my guess is Edwards isn't either. Maybe Stevenson will be back but I actually think he's been so banged up all year, best thing they can do is give him another game off. Similarly I expect Monagai out this week but hopefully he's back next week and feeling fresh (as we clearly are really balancing Swift right now given the fact that he isn't 100% either).

Big game this Thursday. Patriots are a very good team, albeit a bit banged up, with an elite young qb. Bears are similar. Would be awesome to beat the defending Super Bowl runners up! Let’s go Bears!!!

Huge huge game and great win. Caleb played his best game as a pro as a pure qb. He has had more electric games with big plays but this was just beautiful execution outside of taking a couple first down sacks that he had to get rid of it. Excellent performance and great to have him back. Defense was stellar - Kyler was electric but Lewis played well and everyone was swarming. Penalties were awful - between that and Roschon fumble we almost ruined a great day. I’d also say these refs were pretty weak. But bears have to clean up the little stuff. Fantastic to see ball spread all around today and in particular great to see Loveland get involved early and often. That TD catch was great.

Sounds like him and Gordon will split time at nickel today since Gordon is on a snap count as they ease him back.

BJ commented on him last week - was basically a no comment but it didn’t imply anything soon. I think it was a pretty darn serious injury so the 4 months was an extremely optimistic window vs likely. That said I hope you are right. They added McCloud so seems like they wanted a CB vs Safety knowing Lewis was sliding over. With Stevenson playing all year hurt, JJ struggling and Malik still a rookie I presume this was maybe also prioritizing position.

Woods was playing awful so I support that. With Gordon back I presume Lewis will play safety opposite DT. Caleb back too. Good to get these guys back (plus Shemar). Trapillo is also likely to get a drive or two and be active for first time all season as well.

I will feel a lot bette If we go into Atlanta with our starting qb and pull out a win (better yet a convincing win). Very worried about this game with our dline and lb corps and DBs…

Alright - lets get some guys back healthy and lets see the team reset and lock in. Let's get our starting QB back, lets hopefully get our nickel back Gordon here, and lets hopefully see Shemar Turner back too and see if over time he can make an impact. Let's also see the offense get back to the little things as well. I am sure Dillon will learn from some things too. I do think we may see the Bears make a trade here to upgrade the defense. Khalil Mack has been rumored, but I wonder if we see a more splash move happen on the dline (or at DB).

He is yet another example of Bears front office betting wrong on an internal player. But JJ is gone - get rid of him

People really ignored fact this Packers team has tons of talent. Love is an above average qb and they have good receivers. They had a slow start and blew a game awful but they heard all the chatter and played well and the Bears will didn’t. They better look themselves in the mirror and get back to work cause they have a lot to clean up for the guys who were out there. Caleb back will help but don’t use back up qb play as an excuse. I

They came in arrogant and got whooped. You could see with either back up we had zero downfield passing game and a 3rd week in a row and there were adjustments made by defense and we got whooped. 5 turnovers - sad. Defense got whooped too.

Bagent announced as this week's starter. Will be curious to see if Caleb takes any reps - I got to imagine they want to get him back out there and make sure he goes through the motions before they get him back on the field. Having him get some limited reps this week and then maybe a full practice week next week would put him in play for Falcons game...if he doesn't get any reps this week I could see Falcons game being less likely. We need to get our QB back - huge to win 2 straight with our backups (and hopefully a 3rd straight) but our starting QB still has a lot of reps and growth he needs and while he's more raw in his pocket play - he's such an elite talent.

Winning in the road against a team like the Packers is never easy...they have their backs against the wall and they are going to give it everything. Even harder if we have our backup QB out there...not saying it isn't possible...but this is not going to be easy...possible...absolutely...I believe this team beat anyone when they play their best.

In fairness, when you don't notice a DB that is generally a good thing. I can't recall any passes his direction even. I think people are being too hard on JJ and even Stevenson. Yeah he dropped a pick...but he also was right where he needed to be on that play and had a few really good tackles and played good overall sans 1 play (and I think the safety left him exposed on that play).

Overall good game...they left points on the field but did a lot right. Huge credit to defense to doing what it needed to do. No one player...just playing well as a team and making things hard for the opposing QB. Geno did not have much time to throw at all...which is always a good thing. Offensively oline played outstanding and Bradbury looked excellent. Want to acknowledge that since he started the season slow. Theo played a pretty darn good game himself filling in for Jones. Bagent was good...not great. Execution in red zone left a lot to be desired and he had basically 2 real poor throws for INT's (one of which was overturned). The other 2 picks on penalties were on free plays / because of the penalty...so I didn't mind those two one bit. That said - Bagent used more of the field than Keenum. Rome had a very good game and I felt we had players open all game which was a great thing and something we saw less of early in the season. Curious if we see Caleb on practice field on Wednesday...winning on the road against your division rivals with a backup QB is tough...will be tough with Caleb too. I imagine Bears are going to try and make it hard on Packers D to prepare so my guess is we won't know starter until Sunday and even if Caleb practices that may not be a sign (obviously if he doesn't practice he isn't playing - he's been out too long to not need a week of practice to get back into the game). Really nice win and Monagai played strong. Fully expect Swift will learn from this game and I do think his knee is impacting his explosiveness / final push too. Swift fumbled zero times last year so I dont' think this is a long-term issue, but clearly he's got to dial it in and work on the little things. Hopefully Monagai's injury isn't serious. Roschon ran hard as well. I think one big point from BJ was how hard Kyle and Roschon ran and my guess is Swift just isn't comfortable pushing himself further...so maybe it ends up being a blessing in disguise he got more limited reps.

Feels like next week might be week we see Trapillo as a back up but they already ruled him out this week.

4-6 months and pretty gruesome injury…I would love a healthy Bryant back in November…would be a huge add.
